Fancy Nancy and her friends, Bree, Rhonda, Wanda, and Lionel are super-excited to be dancing in a school recital. Nancy and Bree would be perfect mermaids, but Nancy is stuck playing a dreary, dull tree. She soon discovers that being fancy comes in many forms – all it takes is imagination!

Show started promptly. Scenes were not too long. Transition from one scene to the next was sensible. Most of all, the show was interesting enough to hold the audience's attention. Lesson learned from the show was quite obvious. In all, good family program. Would highly recommend it.
I took my two nieces, ages 5 and 3, to see this show since they enjoy the books so much. They both really liked it. The 3 year old was a little restless and talkative but overall they had a good time. The length was perfect as well considering how limited the attention span of young children can be. The show was really cute and the actors were great. I would definitely recommend it to others.
I took my seven year old daughter to see Fancy Nancy. It was only an hour long, which is great for young kids. The moral of the story was basically how to handle disappointment when Nancy doesn't get the role she wanted. Her Mom helps her deal with her feelings. Very cute play.
Nice event to introduce the young ones to live theater.
It was a cute production but I assumed children would be portraying the parts, not adults. I also thought it was a little strange that Nancy's friend and Nancy's mother were played by the same actor and she never did a complete wardrobe change in between parts. It was just long enough, was getting antsy in the theater. The meet n greet following the show was pretty cool!
I can't say enough about these experiences for kids. It's fantastic for little ones (as young as 3!) as a fun day out or a first theatre experience. The show is an hour long with no intermission, which is just long enough for the kids not to be distracted! Just when the characters talk for a little bit, they bust out into song and dance to keep the audience interested and entertained. The set and characters are colorful and cheery, and the kids feel SO SPECIAL being able to meet the characters after the show! Loved it!
My daughter and her two friends (all 8 years old) enjoyed the play but when it was over they all said in unison: "that's it? that was too short!" maybe they are catering to a younger more antsy child or maybe they are accounting for 1 plus hour line to take pictures and get the actors autographs following the play. Overall the acting was great and the a lot of fun...just wanted a little more!
I took my 8 year old and a friend. It started about 7 minutes late. No biggy. It wasn't even an hour long. I was a little disappointed. After seeing Pinkalicious last year , which was great. This was definetly feeling like a waste. Oh well I had a wonderful day out with my daughter..
The play was cute and great for young audiences. I went with my daughter who was 7 years old and she enjoyed it. However I was quite surprised how short the play was. Even though it is for a young audience I felt that the play could have been a little longer.
