WAKIN CHAU IN CONCERT:

As one of the most prolific Taiwanese artists of his time, Wakin Chau's rise to fame in the late'80s made him a household name in Southeast Asia, and he's been topping the charts ever since with his catchy tunes and strong tenor. The singer-songwriter's warm stage presence will have fans smiling and singing along as he belts out his hits like "You Made Me Happy and Sad" and Elton John's "Song For You," filling the room with his soothing vocals and romantic lyrics. Whether he's performing his tunes in Mandarin, Cantonese, or English, Wakin Chau has something for every fan to enjoy as he hits the road for a string of highly anticipated tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Hong Kong, Wakin Chau got his musical start at an early age, learning the guitar at 13 in hopes of becoming a professional musician someday. His dreams came to fruition when he got his big break in 1987 with his debut album Direction Of The Heart, which earned widespread acclaim throughout Taiwan. Since then, he's released over 40 records in three different languages, won a number of awards throughout East Asia, and performed alongside famed acts like Jackie Chan and Jonathan Lee. Not only is he a gifted singer, but he's also a celebrated actor, restaurateur, and philanthropist, and he’ll continue to delight fans with his many talents on his upcoming shows.

    Great concert, but...

    The concert itself was great as my wife and I like the singer a lot. It was good to hear his live performance and his voice is still as good as CD. The 1-star off is because the unclear information provided by the facility (The Venue). I've checked the website many times, and it only mentions about the bag poicy, but NOT about the camera. A lot of events like sports list out what kind of equipments can be brought already. Also the parking instuction could be much better if they could provide guidence like the most nearby parking lot was full, which can save lots of time for many people. The concert was delayed for about 30 minutes because of these (security check and parking) in my observation.

    how amazing he is.. i've been dreaming to see him in person since i was a little girl... i've been listening to his songs all my life... I wish i could take a picture with him when i see him.. but it wasn't allowed to.. i hope next time i will be able to ... I love you Wakin Chau...hope to see you in the future again......you are rock n amazing

    The concert was great. Wakin is one of the best singers who keeps pursuing the best music. He sang many beautiful songs in the concert and interacted greatly with the audience. The Colosseum provided a cool stage for the concert. The seats were comfortable and the view was great.
