    EDBD 28

by BG on 4/28/22Central Florida Fairgrounds - Orlando

The Tickets that you had to purchase for drinks and food were a inconvenience, all the other music festivals do the payments with credit or debit cards, only the Merch was credit card and cash. If they don’t give that option, I would seriously think about not going to the festival again, and I have been to many EDBD festivals

    It was fun

by Skycaptain on 4/28/22Central Florida Fairgrounds - Orlando

I had fun, but it would have been great if VIP had a better view... i wish there was at least one extra merchandise stand, the line was so long all day and it didnt die down till the event was over (i missed some bands because i waited in the line for an hour). I also wished there was better food for the VIP package i paid for, (im gluten intolerant) i got kid sized portions and the food had no taste, i felt it should have been better given how expensive VIP is. Lastly i wish there were more shaded areas (like canopies) and free water fill up stations so guests dont get heat exhaustion.

    VIP

by Diann on 4/28/22Central Florida Fairgrounds - Orlando

Being a VIP was great. The concert line up was amazing . If i had one complaint it would be no VIP sections at the Light it up stage. We would leave tbe VIP section on the Bird Stage and be in the far back at the Light it up stage. Which was not ideal as some of the best bands were on that stage. Maybe next year configuration of the stages for VIP sections in all stages. I will definitely go again. Thank you

    Awesome event & venue

by Jen on 4/28/22Central Florida Fairgrounds - Orlando

The 2022 Event was awesome! There were so many food vendors to choose from. Lots of places to set up a place for seating & then wander the attractions for a bit & still have a place to come back to when you wanted. The air conditioned acoustic stage was a fabulous way to stop in & enjoy some great music while cooling off from the heat. The bands were excellent!! The venue was so much fun & really encouraged crowd participation. We enjoyed several bands that we hadn't previously heard of. Setting up a few shaded spots for GA admission folks would be a wonderful idea for next year!! The only disappointment was the Ice Nine Kills cancellation.

    Decent lineup

    by C. H. on 4/27/22Central Florida Fairgrounds - Orlando

Arrival: Traffic was well directed, but we were unable to park in the lot we wanted. I wanted to park in an open, grassy area but was forced to park under a tent with poles that gave me about 2 cm of clearance on either side with my mirrors. For $20, I should be able to park on the stage. Concert: Entry was pretty quick and easy. The stage setup was a bit different this year...not better or worse. The lineup was decent and I was able to see most of the bands I wanted to see. I'd be remiss if I didn't compliment security and EMS who ensure the crowd stays safe and responds when people need help. My biggest gripe about EDBD is the EDBD coupons. These are required to exchange for food or drink, but it's not clearly posted so anyone who doesn't know about this special "currency" or forgot from previous years, could potentially wait in line with cash in hand and be turned away. The other problem is that prices for food and drink aren't clearly posted. I'm not going to obtain $50 of EDBD coupons to only use $25 because the remaining $25 is useless and I can't refund them at the end of the night. Additionally, places like the merch tent don't use those stupid coupons. Again, it was not posted anywhere that the merch tent was CARD ONLY. The line was a 2 hour wait (YES, TWO HOURS), so there were people that waited 2 hours to walk away empty handed. I didn't buy anything from the vendors, so I'm unsure what form of payment they use, but because of the aforementioned problems, I don't buy food and drink that I would normally buy. Leaving: I had to wait about 30 minutes for traffic to clear up because I had to back into the spot directly behind mine to be able to pull forward without taking off my mirrors. Why didn't I back in when I arrived you ask? Because they were waving people on before you're fully parked and with the limited space to work with, I had no choice. Once out of my spot, I was able to quickly exit and be on my way. They were directing people out at a brisk pace, so that wasn't an issue.

Had a rough start, improved later and ended 1 song short.

by virtualko on 4/27/22Central Florida Fairgrounds - Orlando

Event wasn't this year... (starting with the bad) the 2nd stage speakers went out during the first(?) set and never fully recovered, which was unfortunate since there were a few good bands on that stage everyone was excited to see. The schedule for the acoustic stage was a complete mess also. The line for shirts was endless, so we didn't bother standing in it. Most vendors only accepted the WJRR bucks... which i'm sure was part of the agreement to be a vendor @ the show. Just about everyone I spoke with was under the same impression I was, that they would also take credit/debit cards, but this wasn't the case... I'm glad I brought extra parking cash and I needed to stretchhhhhhhhhhh it out to last all night (Between 2 people). we shared chicken & french fries and had just enough left over to get a few bottles of water each. If cards were allowed, I would have spent MUCH more (i was planning on it). Food lines were PAINFULLY slow and we missed a couple of entire sets waiting in line for food (Three Days Grace and Thrice). (and now the better) Otherwise, Godsmack, BVB, moitionless in white were highlights. The motley crue tribute bad was awesome... they're just as good, if not better than the real thing. Things improved as the night went on, but Godsmack weren't able to play their last song due to a situation in the crowd that required medical intervention. Godsmack did a good job keeping things going while the medical stuff was being addressed. The situation only lasted ~5-6 minutes, but it was enough to bump the last song due to a time limit.

    Room for immense improvement!

by G on 4/27/22Central Florida Fairgrounds - Orlando

The VIP tent and seating were not enough for the amount of VIP tickets sold. Pepsi products were advertised but we were only given the choice of Coke, Sprite and Ginger Ale. The ETO and Turn It Up stages were too close and the bands were playing over each other.. Microphone issues started the day. After 28 yrs you would think that there would be different bands to keep it fresh so it’s worth the high ticket price for VIP.
