About

VYNTYGE SKYNYRD IN CONCERT:

Lynyrd Skynyrd was the most formidable band ever to emerge from the South. Vyntyge Skynyrd celebrates the 1970's era of the band by replicating this timeless music as it was originally recorded and performed. Vyntyge Skynyrd captures the fire and heart of the band, as well as the soul of their fearless leader Ronnie Van Zant.

You'll be transported back to 1977 where you will hear all the classic Skynyrd favorites such as "Sweet Home Alabama", "Saturday Night Special", "Gimme Three Steps", and of course you can yell "FREEBIRD" all you like because you will in fact get it!

THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING IT RIGHT:

Vyntyge Skynyrd understands that there is a responsibility to learn and perform these classic songs correctly, and if you close your eyes you will hear all of those classic riffs and nuances that bring you right back to 1977. Singer Dave Musgroves voice is very reminiscent of Ronnie Van Zant, and the guitars rip through the songs and solos with the authority that they deserve. Together with honky tonk piano and a driving rhythm section, the listener is immersed in an amazing recreation of a 1970s live concert experience. There are no backing tracks, gimmicks

    Both bands killed it!!

by Bedelia on 10/6/22Blue Ocean Music Hall - Salisbury

This is our second year attending this show and it only gets better. The audience energy adds to the show. Great venue, just big enough but still intimate. These two bands are just phenomenal, if you close your eyes you hear Peter Wolf and Ronnie Van Zant. The musicians are top notch

    Vyntyge Skynyrd

by Blacksmyth on 2/7/22Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

Beautiful venue, clean, nice. Band was great, very talented. Sound production was terrible. The sound engineer was clearly not part of the band, and not a fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd music. By the time they realized a guitar player was playing a solo and they brought him up in the mix, it was over. Totally sucked. Then they buried the guitar back in the mix to have this cycle continue throughout the ENTIRE performance. Very frustrating for a fan of the music knowing what is played where, seeing the musician playing it, and hearing mush up until the last few notes of the passage.

    Very good

by Revtomaxx on 2/1/22Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

Only thing that i wasn't very impressed wit was the guy working the sound board. He was late adjusting the sound on different solos. But overall i would love to see them again. Crowd wasn't very big but it was a very cold and windy night.

    Lights

by Bish on 2/1/22Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

Okay they were very good Band, but what they should do is add more lights. I’m trying to say is that just about every band needs a bit more work on the lights. I want it to be like a Disco, LOL.

    Great

    by A. F. on 4/23/19Aura - Portland

We loved both shows! We could have done without the so called comedian/juggler. A suggestion, if there’s going to be two bands, to start at an earlier time.
