    The Best Show Ever

by BL on 4/26/23Scope Arena - Norfolk

Virginia International Tattoo in Norfolk, VA on April 23, 2023 was amazing. Each and every performer whether a dancer or a band member was nothing but the best. To see representation of countries from New Zealand, Australia, Ukraine and so many more made me realize that our world is united except for the few that continue to threaten all. Focusing on the positive, the music these groups shared with us nothing but wonderful. To see them in the massed band made music I will never ever forget. The pipes and drums blended with the brasses and woodwinds was sweet music. Their execution was perfect. The manner the military and the families of the military were honored brought tears to my eyes. To know that I live in a country that respects the military and their families the way USA does makes our freedoms even more valued.

Every performance was incredible!! If you have ever doubted your patriotism, this is the show to see! Navy's perfomance was my favorite. Great acoustics at Scope.

    Superb Presentation

by JohnB on 4/25/23Scope Arena - Norfolk

Every aspect of the International Tattoo was professionally prepared and presented. Enjoyed and was patriotically inspired by every country presentation from USA to Ukraine to Singapore and beyond. Worth every penny and would attend future iterations of this excellent show.

Pretty good, but not the best!

    by fpguy1999 on 4/25/23Scope Arena - Norfolk

This year’s Tattoo (2023) was pretty good, but it wasn’t as good as the last one we saw in 2016. Even though it was the first night of performances (the same as our 2016 visit), the precision of the groups just wasn’t there. I think, in the future, we may have to attend the last show…but then, we would miss the pre-show festivities.

This was a great experience. Being a retired USAF member, it was great to be able to experience it with my family.

Would have liked to see more drill and less family stuff and dances.

    A Must See Patriotic Show!

by Bubbles on 4/24/23Scope Arena - Norfolk

The pre-performances outside were fantastic! The program inside was great! I liked the way you added the acts on the screen. In the future, it would be nice to leave them up a little longer so pictures can be taken. I will continue to encourage people I know to go see the show. I seen in 6 times now! Thanks

    Virginia International Tattoo

by Rob on 4/24/23Scope Arena - Norfolk

We really enjoyed the Tattoo but would have liked more bagpipe and drum groups and fewer military bands. The arena needs better markings for the section numbers. Section 202 had no marking on the wall behind it. Also, some kind of arrows indicating which side seats 1 and 17 are on before one enters the gate.

    Uplifting and Emotional

by June on 4/23/23Scope Arena - Norfolk

I go to the Virginia International Tattoo every year and I absolutely love it every time! The music, singing and pageantry are one-of-a-kind. When I gaze out at the whole arena filled with all those different talented marching bands playing in perfect unison and the heavenly choral groups are singing on stage and the photographs of smiling military families welcoming home their loved ones are flashing on the big screen, my eyes fill with tears of joy! I also totally enjoy the entertainment by each of the US and allied groups and individual singers and performers. Then at the end when the bands play and the choral groups sing Amazing Grace my emotions overwhelm me! Congratulations, NATO, on a fantastic event! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
