    Not prepared

by Yettieh on 6/10/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

The lines to get in were hectic, none of the staff knew what direction to point anyone in. The amount of GA tickets sold and the space allotted for GA ticket holders were not matched. The concert was extremely hard of hearing, almost impossible.

    Excellent Show; Poor Staffing

by K. on 6/7/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

The concert was amazing! However the Luke Combs performance was poorly organized. I attended the Patriotic Festival the night before for Old Dominion and there was little wait to get into the Pit, the staff was helpful, and there was room to move. While this may have been due to the less amount of people present, the organization was still far better than the next night. When we arrived for the Luke Combs concert the line to get into the Pit was 4 blocks long with only 2 people scanning tickets. Once the concert began there was barely room to move along the entire length of the pitt, which makes me believe that they oversold the pitt area or were simply letting people in that didn't have pitt tickets. Afterwards I heard that people who HAD purchased tickets weren't allowed through the gates because they had already reached capacity. Thankfully I did not have this problem. The concert itself was amazing but there NEEDS to be more staff scanning people into the gates and ensuring that people who PAID for their tickets are getting in first.

Kane Brown wasn’t on stage long enough. Need more of him.

by F. on 6/7/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

There were 2 other performers they took too long on stage. It rained and they made us leave didn’t know if we would see Kane Brown at all but he did come out. We had left but came back.

    T'was Awesome

by Mike on 6/6/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

It was awesome. Enjoyed the beach with concert. Having one people jumping out of planes with the flag for the National Anthem was beyond conpare.

    General Admission Not Worth It

by Danielle on 6/5/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

This is the first year I didn’t have pit tickets because they were sold out. I bought general admission instead. I thoroughly regret it. I couldn’t hear the artist talk at all and not all of the songs were clear. I was close to the bar that separates VIP from GA. Also, porter potties were out of toilet paper and the trash cans were full so everyone just threw their trash on the beach. I stayed after to help clean up. Beer was cash only which was a surprise as well. It was an overall poorly set up show.

    Surprised me!

by racheyyk on 6/5/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

Friday night we got there too late because of traffic so I missed Old Dominion. However the concert I really wanted to see most was Luke Combs. My friends and I were at the front of the free section on the beach, but the speakers were blown out or messed up in some way. They were broken throughout the entire concert and we could barely hear a thing. Glad I didn’t get tickets to that one (even though they were sold out). KANE BROWN!!! I knew the popular radio songs by Kane Brown but that’s it. I wasn’t that excited, but I got tickets anyway because there were plenty available. He connected so much with the audience and even stopped his performance to help someone in the audience who needed medical attention. He truly paid tribute to our armed forces and the people who serve our country daily. I’m so glad we went and it’s safe to say my boyfriend has now memorized most of the lyrics to all of his songs. I highly underrated him before. We all evacuated the beach for about an hour due to a storm that arrived, but it only made the concert that much better that they still put on a stellar performance. Had such a great time. Glad the speakers worked for that one! Bud light buckets of 5 were $65 so a bit ridiculous, but I get it. Was my first time there and can’t wait to go back next year.

    Satisfied Concert Goer

by a. on 6/5/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

Though a little disorganized with using only social media to let people know where specific lines where to form and not using signage as well. Along, with am impending storm, which causes some chaos and could've been better orchestrated. All are lessons learned and will hopefully be adjusted for next year. With that being said, I still had a great experience and I will attend again next year.

    Packed!

by Tiffzook on 6/5/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

We drive 9 hours to this event every year. We absolutely love it. Although this year. Saturday night for Luke combs. Packed! Too packed. It was a fight to get out of the crowd to use the bathroom. So much pushing and crowding. I have never seen it that bad! I watched numerous men pee on the beach where we were standing. They did mention that their were the most people ever in attendance (60,000). Which is great, but in my opinion totally over sold!

    Eh

by K. P. on 6/5/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

I have been going to this festival for the past four years and it has never been as chaotic as it was this year. Luke Combs was great, don’t get me wrong. But it was SO disorganized. It took us an hour an a half just to get in the venue (total buzz kill) and we had PIT tickets. They put pit and GENERAL ADMISSION in the same line. Why? Not sure. I’m just glad I didn’t miss Luke Combs.

    Terrible venue

by MDawson on 6/5/195th Street Beach Stage - Virginia Beach

The tickets should have included the opening band info and gate opening time. We got in line for the 7 o'clock show on Saturday and did not get into the venue until 8:30. If we'd had any idea how long it would take we would have planned accordingly. The port-a-potties were on day 2 and were a wreck. They should have been maintained throughout the festival. On day three the the vendors ran out of water because they underestimated the number of non-drinkers in the crowd. The tickets were divided into three sections and you could not go into another area for food or drink, so the selection was extremely limited. Overall a festival that large on an actual beach was not a lot of fun.
