    Definitely not worth the money

by Nevereveragainterrible on 9/25/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

Don't get me wrong, the artists were amazing. The crowds that security stopped policing halfway through each day were insane full of people drinking and doing drugs which yes you will get that at a festival but the limited amount of staff members they had for everything was terrible. The toilets didn't get cleaned, the vendors prices would say one thing and then when you scanned your bracelet to pay the price pops up as a higher amount, the area for handicapped people was insanely small and run by a guard who decided to let a bunch of girls in to hang out with him during the Eminem concert even though it was already so packed people with crutches were in the grass. Pretty annoying too when you go to the Sunday show and cant buy any merchandise for it because it sold out friday. This festival was nothing but a money sucking joke. I will NEVER attend a squamish festival again.

    Bands were bar none -excellent

by Golow on 8/19/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

The bands were bar none-excellent. The setting/back drop was beautiful. It would have been nice to see all the bands but you couldn't because they were playing at the same time. The bathrooms were horrifically disgusting. The bathrooms often had huge lineups- poor women! It was bad enough to wait in a line to get into the event never mind the huge line up to get out-go figure. It was smoking hot out and there were huge lineups to get water. The beer/alcohol selection was poor. Old school Molson...and they often ran out. These days selection is plentyful so why limit yourself to just one label. Take a lesson from the Rock the Shores in Victoria in July- craft beers and excellent vendors.I would rate the Sqaumish Music Fest higher if it weren't for the above stated deficiencies.

    Overall a positive experience

by Rum123 on 8/19/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

I was pleased with security and how they handled the crowd surfers. Both my sons were kicked in the head by crowd surfers so I was pleased the security were gently removing the crowd surfers. There were moments just before M&M when the crowd was surging at the front and I thought it could be dangerous if someone were to fall and get trampled. I am unsure what security could have done about that. There were ample porta-potties and the food offerings were excellent. My only gripe is that the walkways were too narrow for the number of people. However, I don't think much can be done about that. It was a well-organized festival and we will most likely return next year.

    Unprepared

by Weety on 8/13/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

1.5 hours body to body with no oxygen in 32 degree heat just to get in. Up to 20 min wait for a bathroom and longer to get into beer garden or get some food. Don't buy VIP if you're happy to spend equal or more time in line ups. Can't comment on VIP- didn't have it.

    eminem is sick!!!!

by artvandelay43 on 8/13/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

Amazing weekend. My only recommendation would be to have a food truck inside the premium camping site!!! It's a must. And maybe closer or better parking

festival was awesome, but here are some improvemen

by JohnColin on 8/13/14Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

The festival was good overall. Some critiques: charging $325 to stay in tent city is ridiculous (that upset me, especially being a 20 minute walk). The staff was very helpful in camping though. It was way confusing to find my way around, not enough staff around that knew what was going on. parking was disorganized the maps provided should have been more detailed. The bass for eminem drowned out the vocals.
