Long Island-born musician Vinnie Caruana rose to fame in 1993 as the frontman of The Movielife, which served up a decade of catchy punk pop before disbanding in 2003. Caruana then formed I Am The Avalanche, a Brooklyn-based indie punk group that wound up topping Billboard's Heatseekers chart and earned a reputation for energetic shows while on tour. In between the band's second and third albums -- 2011's Avalanche United and 2014's Wolverines -- Caruana began recording his own material. In 2013 he released his debut solo EP City By The Sea, a critically acclaimed collection of indie folk tracks that had fans buzzing. Even though he continues to record and tour with I Am The Avalanche and hardcore outfit Peace'd Out, Caruana's remains committed to his solo work, and he wins over audiences every time he takes the stage at his intimate live shows.
