What a horrible event. As expected, concert was late starting. When it did start, it was an hour of local amateur performances. When Vickie finally came on stage, she sang 4 songs in one hour. She spent the majority of her time talking and telling jokes. What a waste of time and money. The place was so empty. I guess people knew something I didn't know. I will never be back to one her of concerts.
Considering the ticket price I anticipated a bigger budget large production show but what I got was a very intimate experience with Vickie Winanas as well as several other very talented artist. I felt it was very professionally done and I was blown away by the talent. I came to learn that Vickie is not only a talented singer but is also a very talented comedic entertainer. I attend several concerts every year and this one was one of the best. It didn't have all the bells and whisles of the big concerts but the quality of entertainment was matched that of the biggeer shows.
I was disappointed. The local artist S-A-N-G thier hearts out, however Ms. Vickie was very tired.

The Wilmington Chester Mass Choir was extremely good! They have impeccable tone quality with their blended voices and their overall sound gave an impression of a much larger choir. I also enjoyed the vocal ministry between numbers! Vickie Winans has an incredible voice and, she is "really an outstanding comedienne!" I thoroughly enjoyed her monlogue in between songs. I would have preferred that she sang a few more songs but, she did an awesome job with the songs she did sing. I would enjoy attending another Vickie Winans concert.....
While I liked Vickie's stories, I felt that she spent more time telling stories and less time singing and uplifting with song and gospel music. I wanted to hear more of her great songs both past and present and be touched spiritually. Hopefully, the next time she comes to this region she will sing more gospel. Thanks for seeking my opinion.
She song 4 songs Really! - - from a music track. * The locals brought a band w/ back-up singers.....come on, really Vickie, Really!!! FYI -- it lasted nearly 4 hrs ( all the local folks performing --- ending with Vickie Winans singing 4 songs).
She song "FOUR" songs, Really - - from a music track,,,,,really!!! I mean really... Come on.....the locals who performed frist brought a band w/ back-up singers and I didn't pay to see them ....nor would I have paid to see them. *I wonder if they got paid.
Great event and I really enjoyed and I am certainly a Vickie Winans fan. I just think that singing to tracks do not do the artist justice. I know that it saves money and reduce risk for the producers, but I walked away feeling a bit shortchanged. Tribe of Judah had the juice on this one.
vicki winans was wonderful! she was real, funny, and had a powerful voice. she was fantastic
