About

V - The Ultimate Variety Show Live

A classic American stage tradition gets an energetic reinvention in V – The Ultimate Variety Show, a large-scale, state-of-the-art production that showcases a wildly diverse array of performers every night. With the unique mix of great entertainment by the dozen-strong rotating cast, V – The Ultimate Variety Show astonishes and delights audiences with incredible feats of stunt skating, aerial artistry and rhythmic gymnastics, hilarious stand-up and prop comedy routines, and other acts like nothing viewers have seen before.

At the center of the action every night is V's longtime host Wally Eastwood, one of the most accomplished comedy jugglers in Las Vegas history. With his lightning-fast hands and even quicker wit, Eastwood is an expert at keeping audiences engaged.

V's creator and founder David Saxe has been just as reliable in finding exciting and unique performers who bring a modern sensibility to this proudly old-school variety show. A Las Vegas favorite since it first premiered at the Venetian Resort & Casino in 2001, it has been entertaining audiences at the V Theater in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino since 2004.

V - The Ultimate Variety Show Background

Las Vegas producer David Saxe had a longtime dream: to reintroduce audiences to the surprises and delights of the classic variety show. Once a staple of music halls and vaudeville theaters, the variety show's diverse mix of family-friendly entertainment had become a rarity in the modern age.

That changed in 2001 when V – The Ultimate Variety Show premiered at the Venetian Resort & Casino. The large-scale production featured a rotating cast of top international performers who wowed viewers with skills and specialties as unique as they are engaging. Aerial acrobatics, stunt skating feats and balancing acts — along with comedy routines of all kinds — are just a few of the thrills on offer in a production that's never the same twice.

A renowned comedy juggler who's performed in over 25 countries, Wally Eastwood fulfills the time-honored role of variety-show host and emcee. He's delighted audiences for the award-winning production's long history, which began a new chapter when it found its home at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in 2004. Nightly performances take place at the specially built V Theater.

    Unhappy camper

by JJ on 12/29/22V Theater at Planet Hollywood Inside the Miracle Mile Mall - Las Vegas

It was an unexpected experience! The show was totally different than how the pictures presented. We paid VIP prices, over $160 for each ticket; chose middle seats. At Will Call, I was told they can't find any information and apparently from the conversation between staffs I was not the only one from "ticketmaster" that they don't have information. Anyhow, It was a very small room, small, simple stage, worse than a regular church auditorium. No fixed seats. The old chairs were crowded, placed all the way to the stage. The shows were not bad, kind of like simple tricks from cicurs shows where you can find at some fairs. We were placed all the way to a corner. I felt wasted money. With the same price, you can get to see real fancy shows from circus del sol in a real theater instead, like the "O". If I give "O" a 10, this one would be barely a "2" just because the actors/actress worker hard and few of them possess amazing acrobat skills. Just like the host had said "what do you expect a show in a mall?". Maybe $40 worth. "V" theater, I have been there. ✔️

    Disappointing

by Dianehs on 7/3/17V Theater at Planet Hollywood Inside the Miracle Mile Mall - Las Vegas

The show was lacking originality. Willy the headmaster burned allot of time doing basic silly tricks. The performers were subpar and the show was over priced

    Good show

by ZachfromTexas on 5/22/16V Theater at Planet Hollywood Inside the Miracle Mile Mall - Las Vegas

Good variety show. The first act was the best. The emcee was great, an excellent juggler and very funny! The only negative was the sound volume - I'm slightly hard of hearing and it was too loud for me.

    Terrible

by DORSETmark on 5/20/16V Theater at Planet Hollywood Inside the Miracle Mile Mall - Las Vegas

Initially disappointed as the theatre was small and looked scruffy. The show lasted a little over an hour some acts were poor, the best were the Russian and Ukrainian gymnasts who were good. American sense of humour doesn't always work for the British, as it lacks sophistication.

Smaller show without a big budget but definitely worth the time. Very entertaining and quite amazing performers. Drinks are pricey as they are at any event in Vegas. Was about an hour and a half long, didn't even seem like it though. Check it out!

From the moment the host came on stage, to the last round of applause from the audience, this variety show keep me either amazed, laughing, or wondering “How did they do that?”. Needless to say, I would highly recommend this show to anyone and any age group. This show truly is safe for the whole family to watch.
