Always great to watch the team in action, and when you can see them here, all the better.

    so so-did & wouldn't do it again

by Nattie0379 on 8/30/17The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center - Anaheim

USA played well but the Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center is god awful. We had parked in the ACC parking garage for $16 & had to walk a huge distance to get to the venue. There was no excuse for that. Also, the ACC is hard to find. I suggest you park at a hotel as it would be much easier. I will never go to an event at this place again.

    Subpar facility

by Jooan1963 on 8/30/17The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center - Anaheim

I can't understand why this location was selected. It is not a good venue for Volleyball. Parking was expensive and confusing as lines were long to even get into the parking. Signage was poor. There was another large event going on- Home Show. Traffic was horrendous due to Sunday at Disneyland. The will call lines were so long that folks missed 1 to 2 of the 3 sets! After the USA won 3-0, they said they would play a fourth set. That was to appease the fans who waited to get their tickets. This was a little toooo late. WE had planned to return for Tuesday's match but no way!! The USA Volleyball Team's operations person should be fired! I am sure there were budget issues but if your going to do something, do it right or not at all. It was an embarrassment for the USA.

    USA Brazil volleyball

by Ian59 on 8/30/17The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center - Anaheim

Good seats in open seating area at a great price for a family of 4. Very happy that I did not go for the assigned seating that was only only 6-8 rows in front of my selected seats but were 4 times the price. The game was excellent with music playing and even cheerleaders as the USA team won 3 sets to 0. The teams then played a demonstration friendly 4th set to keep the entertainment going for the fans and to try out the newer players on the team.

    Extreme Disappointment

by Anonymous on 8/30/17The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center - Anaheim

Where do I start?!?! The parking logistics was poor (at best). The online directions pointed you to the entrance at W. Katella Ave. No signage. No one directing traffic. I watched numerous people cut in line, while others make illegal u-turns. It took 20+ min just to get into the convention center parking. Moving on... I purchased my tickets online and planned to pick them up at will call thinking it would be a quick and efficient way to bypass the ticket line. Incorrect. The will call lines were longer than the purchase lines. The situation was so bad that people who had will call tickets were standing in the purchase line and demanding their tickets. When I reached the front of the line, I watched as the ticket sales staff were huddled around a single area inside the office, like stockbrokers at the Exchange, fighting to get people's will call tickets. It gets better... A few staff members were running around "trying" to accommodate a growing crowd of unhappy people, but only added to the confusion as they hand picked people, ran inside the ticket office, and tried to get and hand deliver peoples tickets. A noble gesture, but please understand, that when you waiting in line (in 85+ deg F sunny and humid weather) and someone helps the person next to you or behind you after you've been waiting patiently, it doesn't leave you with a good feeling. Unfortunately, there's more... the icing on the cake was when members of the U.S. National Team (Development) proceed to cut in line to get their tickets. I'm not 100% sure if they were late, delayed, or if there was some other issue, but in my opinion extremely bad form to cut in front of the patrons who paid to come support you and the rest of the team. After a 2 hour drive (one-way) from San Diego, and over an hour parking and getting our tickets we finally made it into the match to catch the 3rd game. The added 4th game was a nice and appreciated gesture. But IMO the quality of play was no up to the level I would have expected from the best our country has to offer. I later found out that a few of the starters weren't there. Needless to say, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. Unlikely, I will make the effort to go to another USA Women's Volleyball match again. A few thoughts... Improve the experience, starting from the website and ticket purchase. In this day and age, you should be able print out or have a mobile ticket with a barcode that can be scanned at the entrance, so people can bypass the lines. Explore utilizing more volunteers to help with event execution. The overall feeling of the event still feels like a high school / college volleyball match vs a National Team event. More professionalism needed. I grew up in the era of Karch, Timmons, Sato, Buck, Ctvrtlik, Stork, and others. There was an aura of greatness around the teams of the late 80's and early 90's. Yes. I understand times have changed, but my hope is that USA Volleyball somehow finds a way to recreate this feeling.

    Long wait

by ShakaVolleyball on 8/30/17The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center - Anaheim

We purchased our tix online about 3 weeks before the game, however we were instructed to pick them up at will call. We arrived at 3:15 for the 4:00 game. It took approximatley 1 hour and 30 minutes to get our tix at will call. Consequently, we missed most of the first game. The people running the ticket area were very slow and disorganized. So incredibly frustrating!
