Great Game
by SportsFan1889 on 5/8/17Husky Softball Stadium - SeattleI have two daughters who play little league softball, so I took the family to see the Husky women play. It was a great game. Women's softball culture is very different from baseball. The women are much more aggressive, competitive, and supportive of their team mates. The women are loud. They sing fight songs, and theme songs for the star players. They also taunt their opponents verbally. My favorite moment was when UW's third base player moved in close to home plate and pointed at the ground in front of her - and yelled at the batter, "HIT IT HERE". Amazingly, it worked, the batter hit the ball right to where the third base player pointed. She quickly scooped it up and threw her out.
