The Airshow was great as usual,but we tried a new place for viewing and it was just okay. The food was good , but if your viewing a show from 10 :00 to 4:00 it is a long time to stand. Seating should be considered for next year.
Great event for the entire family. Will go again next year .
The show itself was incredible and the Thunerbirds were truly awesome. We wound up watching most of the show from the boardwalk as the VIP tickets to view the show on the top floor of the pier were not nearly worth the price of $39.00. The food was less than stellar (burgers were cold and burnt, hot dogs were overcooked). The outdoor viewing area was cramped and you only had a view looking south. The indoor viewing area was very fragmented and although a good place to cool off there were very few seats to get off your feet for a few minutes during a five hour show. Bottom line, save your money and watch from the beach or boards.
This was the first air show I have been to and I really enjoyed it. We were given wristbands upon entering the venue which was a beautiful location on the top floor of Caesars pier. It had amazing views with floor to ceiling windows in two large rooms as well as an outside deck to really hear the aircraft. It was nice they didnt over sell tickets as we never felt crowded at all, compared to looking down at the boardwalk and beach which was practically shoulder to shoulder. We were grateful to have comfortable accommodations in air conditioning! There was a cash bar, one in each of the rooms, and they served a nice selection of food and snacks for the duration of the event. There were also activities like flight simulators and airbrush tattoos for those who brought kids. The best part was the planes were flying right past us, so close at times it was thrilling!
I was sold tickets and given row and seat numbers. I was led to believe that I had special seating in which to view the show and that was not even close to what happened. We get there with my 5 yr old and are told we can stand inside to watch the planes or stand outside facing one direction of the beach. I left the building and watched the show on the beach outside with my daughter. Who wants to watch an airshow from inside? The whole point of watching an airshow is so you can hear the roar of the jets! Very upset.
