About

With the mantra “Retro never sounded so now!”, the dreamy voices of the four lead singers of pop quartet UNDER THE STREETLAMP are poised to bring the repertoire of The American Radio Songbook of the ‘50’s, ‘60’s and 70’s to a whole new audience while simultaneously reminding the original fans why they fell in love with the music in the first place. UNDER THE STREETLAMP breathes fresh new life into the music and proves that great music is timeless.

    Fantastic

by Bub on 1/3/23Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino - Maricopa

The music was fabulous. The singers were energetic and really gave a superb concert. The songs most definitely were for the audiences' age. Refreshing, well performed music of the 50's, 60's and 70's. Great job.

These guys were amazing - unbelievable voices, good stories, familiar and memorable songs, a lot of energy, plus some pretty cool dancing. I highly recommend this show to everyone - you'll have fun and be glad you went.

    It was just ok.

by Ch on 10/26/22Ames Center - Burnsville

Their routines were a little corny tho that was the era. Goid voices. Stage was way to big for the artist, shoukd have had a drop curtain behind as the stage looked so "cold" esp during their song "Stary, stary Nite". Picky, I know but it was distracting

    Underwhelming

    by Eliot11994 on 10/26/22Ames Center - Burnsville

The show my husband and I attended was a matinee and I felt like I was attending a rehearsal for the real show. The show was precluded by the musicians wandering around the stage checking papers on music stands and drinking out of water bottles. There was no lead-up to the entrance of the singers. They just ran out and started to sing. What would I have liked to have seen? I would have liked a closed curtain prior to the show start (we don't need to see the prep work). Maybe a dark room and hearing harmonized vocals with the curtain opening to a lighted backdrop screen (there was a screen available) of a dark street with a street lamp). The singers could be silhouetted at the stage front. The lights come on and they perform! But, that wasn't the case. After the first song, one the singers announced that he needed to adjust sound system so that the piano could be heard (shouldn't somebody have checked that before?) There was mixed enthusiasm in the group. I loved 'The Temptations' style dancing, but one the guys didn't seem to be enjoying it and gave minimized actions. Who knows, maybe, he wasn't feeling well or had strained a muscle. The guys could all sing, but there were quite a few 'off tune' moments. When they would need a drink of water, 3 of the singers would go to the back of the stage, near the musicians and stand around a stool that had bottles of water and drink and sing. There were definitely some enjoyable moments and I could probably have overlooked most of the faults I have with the production if they had presented us with a show that looked and sounded like it had been performing for over 10 years.

    Fantastic

This was the second time I saw this group and they were even better than the first time. Their jersey boys, Motown and do wop all rolled into one. Don’t listen next time you’re in town

    Very Good

by R J on 12/7/21Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

The show was excellent. A good mix of rock n roll and Christmas tunes as well. They kept moving and there was never a lack of "good Stuff".

A really great performance. Brought back so many, many memories. These guys are well rehearsed and choreographed, in addition to the perfect renditions of the golden oldies. We loved it!

    Under the Streetlamp

by jj on 10/12/21Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The venue was well managed. The acoustics inside the Playhouse caused the instruments to drown out the voices. The show was disappointing. We are great fans of this group, and we felt that this was not as successful a show as their usual
