Corbett Stadium is a beautiful stadium and field. The layout is nice the seating is great and the berms at both ends are fun for the fans. While the facilities are above average, USF for some reason has no viable concept as to how to process crowds. In basketball, baseball and soccer stadiums, getting through security is a hassle because it is largely under staffed. On this particular night there was one person at each of two gates scanning tickets and another checking bags. It took 20 minutes just to get into the stadium. The guy scanning tickets said they kept losing their WiFi and could not scan. Next we went in only to find both concession lines backed up about 20 deep. We sat down and figured we would come back after the game started. !5 minutes into the game the line was just as long, but we wanted a soda. 35 MINUTES LATER WE WERE ABLE TO GET ONE! Only two people at each stand, both taking orders, fixing food and drinks then taking money. Seriously! It was like they only expected 100 people to show up. Very poorly planned, but as previously mentioned, not uncommon for events at USF
Unfortunaly it took us 15 mins just to get in the field, the line was not moving ,whoever was checking tickets they did not seem to know how to do it .there was not reason to take that long. Then going to get some pretzels and drinks it took 40 mins I miss the first half of the game . That was unacceptable
Not being able to bring snacks and waters in was unbelieveable especially since the snackline was an hour long. 1 register and 12 people running around in circles in the back. It was ridiculous!!!
Very good last minute tickets gave great view of good match. Some good passing and goals. Some of the crowd suspected a biased ref who gave/ did not give penalties, but he was right! A good crowd, appreciative of the game. This is our third visit to this fixture, probably the best so far.
A very cold evening was very well attended; people in quilted coats, woolly hats and sporting blankets were not your usual Florida scene. Great to see a female referee who performed well. Some good play by both sides. Strange to say for every goal kick all other players from both teams seemed to mass in the centre circle. Is this a new US rule or tactic?? Parking and exit was easy but a few more siugns going in would have helped. Looking forward to a warm sunny evening at St Pete's for the next rowdies game
THe event was great. Great seating just about anywhere you sat really...but the VIP section for the extra 3$ is worth it =) Just wish the beer was a little cheaper....but I guess 7$ is the norm at these things now
I took my son out to watch the game on his birthday. We enjoyed it. Thank you!
Smooth entry to stadium, though a few signs on parking lot would have helped; for instance telling us the parking was free for this event. Quick collection of will pay tickets. All stewards helpful and friendly. Very good comfortable seats. Timing very good; started promptly. Good crowd responses; many young children who had attended soccer camp during the day with parents. Easy exit from gorund and car park. A good evening.
Great seats and was fun for the whole family! Venue was very clean and the price for the event for a family of four was very reasonable!
