About

U.S. ROYALTY IN CONCERT:

Over the last few years, D.C.-based rockers U.S. Royalty have emerged as one of the most eclectic and inspired indie bands on the scene -- and they've done it largely without the help of a label. From two-self-released albums to a tour with Third Eye Blind, the unsigned group's growing list of accomplishments owes directly to their fresh sound, tireless determination, and unforgettable performances on the road. Whether they're channeling Fleetwood Mac with "Blue Sunshine" or evoking classic Britpop with the kaleidoscopic "More To This", U.S. Royalty delivers a crown-worthy performance every time they take the stage on their can't-miss tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

U.S. Royalty formed in 2008 from the ashes of several Washington, D.C.-area bands. After holing up in a trailer in Southern Maryland for a few months and writing songs, the quartet made their debut with 2009's Midsommar EP. The release displayed a wide-ranging sound that the band honed during extensive touring, and in 2011 they self-released their first full-length album Mirrors. The album's skillful blend of classic rock, pop, and psychedelic influences attracted the attention of alt-rock hit-makers Third Eye Blind, who tapped the fledgling rockers as a supporting act for their 2011 tour dates. Their electrifying performances on the road paved the way for a string of festival appearances, including critically acclaimed sets at SXSW and CMJ. U.S. Royalty continued to generate buzz in 2014 with their sophomore album Blue Sunshine, a chill yet sophisticated effort that has ticket buyers eagerly awaiting their upcoming live shows.

    Band on the rise

by JFKJean on 12/12/11Mercury Lounge - New York

These boys get better every single time! It was my third time seeing them and even though I've known about their album being out since early this year, I finally got on iTunes and purchased the record. they're a great live band with impeccable style, very reminiscent of late 60's/ early 70's bands. Make sure you see this fabulous band if they're in your area!
