TWIN FORKS IN CONCERT:
Folk four-piece Twin Forks is one of the most exciting acts to emerge from Florida’s underground bluegrass scene. The band mixes guy-girl harmonies, rich acoustic guitar plucking, and thumping stand-up bass and percussion to create a cheerful sound that plays out perfectly live. Whether they’re telling stories on “Tall Green Grass” or getting fans to stomp their boots to “Back To You”, Twin Forks always gives ticket buyers something to holler about on their carefree live tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Indie country-folk outfit Twin Forks started out as a solo project by Chris Carrabba in 2011 after his previous bands – Dashboard Confessional and Further Seems Forever – went on hiatus. Originally performing under his name, Carrabba released his first solo album that same year titled Covered in the Flood, a cover album featuring renditions of popular tracks by bands like R.E.M. and the Dandy Warhols. After recruiting several musician friends to join the project, the band became a four-piece and was renamed Twin Forks. The band released their self-titled EP in 2013, receiving praise from Billboard and Alternative Press for their Americana sound. They came out with their eponymous debut full-length in 2014, which peaked at No. 2 on the Top Heatseekers Albums chart and received widespread acclaim from critics and fans alike. With several US tours under their belt, Twin Forks continues to delight fans with their country-tinged folk every time they take the stage.

Rough Trade was an amazing venue, very hip and intimate, allowing for a great view of each band and a terrific sound wherever you stood. All three bands complimented one another in style and sound, making each setlist very enjoyable. I had never even heard of Seryn until I saw them at the show and they blew me away. Finally, Twin Forks was flawless, and It was awesome to have Chris Carrabba hanging out with fans before the show, taking pictures and signing merch. I'd say if you have the opportunity to see Twin Forks, definitely do it, and I hope they play a Rough Trade again because it's my new favorite venue in NYC.

The entire band is wonderful and humble and meet and greet all the fans . Their energy on stage is unmatchable ! The whole crowd sings along and Chris playfully interacts with the group and the crowd! The small venues they seem to be playing in allow for that feeling like you're hangin in your backyard listening to your friends jam out ! I hope that even with the fact that they are going to blow up, that they keep the concerts small and intimate and play more often in the NYC area! I absolutely love them !!!

by MLYElizabeth on 7/5/14The Basement - ColumbusMy husband and I saw twin forks in Portland a few months earlier as an opener and they were unforgettable! As the headliner in cbus they were just as amazing but played a longer set that included covers and old dashboard songs which was a real great! We did notice one of the Baron sisters was absent and had a fill-in. I have to say we loved the sisters playing together in Portland! They compliment each other so well. We would definitely see Twin Forks if they are close to Columbus again and would recommend them as a great love show.
