    Disappointing

by Lynn on 12/7/21Braden Auditorium - Normal

The students did a good job, but they all had black masks on which gave it a very somber feel and greatly detracted from the joy of the story with no facial expressions. The Nutcracker was a toy soldier instead. Overall, the set, interpretation and performance were not of the caliber of the Peoria Ballet version.

    Adequate Portrayal

by RedTX on 12/6/17Braden Auditorium - Normal

It was not what I expected. I didn’t realize that the performances would be given by children. The two professional dancers were very good. The children did very well too. Just not what I thought it was. But that’s my fault. Not the shows.

    Dance Recital

by Anonymous on 12/8/15Braden Auditorium - Normal

While I knew this was a school production, I was under the impression there would be decent dancing and story telling. I don't want to knock kids, but most of the dancing was painful to watch. A couple of the older kids were good but the majority of the performance was little kids trotting around in pretty outfits. I felt like I was at a dance recital for kids I didn't know, and while I am sure the performance was fine for that purpose, for close to $30 a ticket it was definitely NOT worth the money. You could not follow the story line at all, and it seemed like the kids were just taking turns dancing.

Sweet and beautifully done! I would love to take my girls to this event for years to come! Note: the following is about the SEATS, but it won't let me include this much text in the seat review area. I don't think they should even sell the first several rows! It was nearly impossible for me, as an adult, to see and my girls (8 & 3) could only see small parts of the performance. I didn't purposefully purchase first row seats, I purchased "best available." They were HORRIBLE.
