It was amazing to see all that was in a single tomb, that was even robbed! And all that was in the tomb I'm sure wasn't even on display. To see the ability, technique, skill and dedication it took for every aspect of their culture was amazing.

Tutankhamun was a waste of money

by starstar431 on 1/5/11Denver Art Museum - Denver

We were expecting that his coffin was part of the exhibit. Also they had to many people go in at the same time, it was very crowded and slow moving. I expected to see more items on display. I would not recommend the tour.

    Tut was a mosh pit

by Anonymous on 1/4/11Denver Art Museum - Denver

I went to King Tut at Denver Art Museum on Sunday January 2nd at 1230 and it was so packed that it was difficult to see the many small pieces as i would be 5 deep behind wheelchairs and crying babies. Expensive and disappointing. There was no strategy to duck the crowds.

    King Tut

by UncleBuncle on 1/4/11Denver Art Museum - Denver

Exhibition was awesome! My wife especially enjoyed it. We bought the CD for the Denver exhibit as well as for the one in New York City, and then checked out a large Tutankhamun picture book from the library the next day. Just can't get enough King Tut.

Too crowded and you had the feeling you had to hurry. There was simply not enough time to look at each of the artifacts. The time lines were hard to follow. The movie was good.

    Too Crowed

by Jasper2123132165 on 1/4/11Denver Art Museum - Denver

The museum is selling too many tickets for each time period. It was so crowed that I never got up to the exhibits to look inside, it was always two or three people between me and the exhibits. So I missed a lot of the detail of the pieces. Between the price of the ticket, the price of the audio tour and the movie I don't feel that I got what I paid for. Very disapointing.

The King Tut exhibit was amazing!

by kirifox on 1/3/11Denver Art Museum - Denver

I absolutely loved the exhibit, although I found a few errors in the labeling that accompanied some of the objects. Having been an Egyptophyle for many years, I was thrilled to actually see the objects I have studied so long. Knowing that I may never have the chance to peruse these items again made the exhibit and audio tour that much more special. I would recommend it highly to anyone with an interest in ancient Egypt or Tutankhamun in particular.

Loved the exhibit but it was way too crowed. Wish I would have gotten tickets to see the exhibit before the last week.

    No mummies on this tour

by Hope2010456 on 1/3/11Denver Art Museum - Denver

Loved how the Denver Art Musuem organized the exhibit. Despite the crowds, we had plenty of time to read everything and hear everything on the audio tour. Note that there are no bathrooms in the exhibit so I noticed families with small children having trouble. Also families with strollers seemed to have trouble too. The DAM said they could accommodate handicapped...they did have captions available on the movie, but they also had many stairs to climb and although I didn't see any wheelchairs or walkers, the families with strollers were able to slowly navigate the exhibit. I loved the audio tour and the exhibits, but I was disappointed that there was no mummy and no tomb...just trinkets and one large statue.

    Tutankhamun expo

by Denver2010 on 1/3/11Denver Art Museum - Denver

Beautiful objects, but too crowded and objects too close ones to others, which made difficult to appreciate.
