Very enjoyable concert with inspiring an maestro and talented musicians. I've rarely heard all of Holst's Planets piece at once (Jupiter stands out as a frequently excepted piece), and it was quite a treat, especially with the telescopes and other astronomical material in the lobby. Well done, TSO!
If you like Broadway tunes, going to this event was incredible. A few symphony only medleys and then about 6-8 different Broadway hits sung by 3 incredible singers- stand alone fantastic and singing together also. A wonderful surprise!
The special event, Broadway Legends, was an amazing musical night. The TSO was flawless, the guest vocalists absolutely awesome, and the selections a perfect blend of Broadway over the years. A top-quality performance that we enjoyed very much.
The Broadway tunes were sung beautifully and the symphony orchestra including the director were amazing. I felt like I was in New York seeing all the shows again. Their selection was wonderful, and their voices perfect!
We thoroughly enjoyed the symphony featuring Broadway Legends. The symphony performed beautifully and with precision. The singing was incredible and entertaining. We were sad to see so few in attendance, however we were aware that there were many events happening in Tucson that evening. Excellent.
Great show. Very entertaining. Capithita has an amazing voice. We liked the change of non-typical symphony type music to more R&B. The Amen and church tunes were okay but didnt keep with the celebration beat of the program.
Because of a change in plans, I had Sunday afternoon free so was able to attend Sunday Gershwin Symphony presentation. Bought a ticket on line and had a seat, center orchestra! Perfect seat, magnificent and thrilling performance. We are so lucky to have such a conductor and symphony orchestra in Tucson.
