About

T.S.O.L. IN CONCERT:

Legendary SoCal punk band T.S.O.L. has been railing against the government, capitalism, and everything in between since the late '70s. Three decades later, they've lost none of their vim and vigor. The band's adrenaline-filled live shows are as raw as ever, featuring the savage energy of frontman Jack Grisham and breakneck anti-establishment anthems like "World War III" and "Abolish Government". From Grisham's in-your-face personal style (men's blazer, women's skirt) to the throngs of thrashing fans in the mosh pit, T.S.O.L.'s concerts are always high on spectacle and low on inhibition -- a perfect combination for true fans of classic punk rock.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

T.S.O.L. formed in Long Beach, CA, in 1978 and quickly became a staple of the burgeoning Southern California punk scene with their fervently political lyrics and aggressive sound. Early releases like their self-titled 1979 debut EP and the 1980 album Dance With Me featured classic hardcore punk, but by the 1982 release of sophomore album Beneath the Shadows the band had adopted a goth rock sound. They continued to evolve as frontman Jack Grisham left the band and was replaced by singer Joe Wood. Wood's debut with the band, the seminal 1984 album Change Today?, featured a moody post-punk sound that was a hit with critics and fans alike. Wood released three more albums with the band before his departure in the early '90s, and in 1991 Jack Grisham and the band's original lineup reunited and released the live album Live '91. It was another ten years before they released a new studio album, but it was worth the wait -- 2001's Strange Love was a true return to form for the band, earning praise from both critics and fans for its classic hardcore sound. A veteran live act known for their high-octane performances, T.S.O.L. continues to get ticket buyers amped up on their can't-miss tours.

Old school bands that still rock live

by TH on 1/9/24The Observatory - Santa Ana

TSOL, 45 Grave after all those years are still killing it live. Seen both bands live many times and will again. Crowd was a mix of old head & young punks that meshed well, at the Observatory in Santa Ana.

T.S.O.L. RIPPED IT UP IN ORANGE COUNTY AGAIN!

by STEADMAN on 1/9/24The Observatory - Santa Ana

So good to see them live again! Use to frequent their shows way back in the day, very early eighties around the Orange County area when punk was huge. Not to mention the Venue, easy in, easy out, killer drink prices and service! Can't wait for them to come back! Peace out and rock/punk on! Shout out to all my mates from Estancia High School 1980 to 1984!

Great bands, cool venue, horrendous lighting

by JT on 2/1/23The Regent Theater - Los Angeles

The bands sounded great and it was a fun show. The lighting was absolutely horrendous. Not only was it incredibly dark, but they had some ivy or another type of plant projected onto the stage, so all of the band members had this on their faces and bodies. I have seen many shows at this venue, it's a great space and the staff are super cool, but the lighting... Ooof!

T.S.O.L. & The Dwarves absolutely killed it!!

by JT on 1/10/23The Regent Theater - Los Angeles

All four bands sounded great and had tons of positive energy, as well as the audience/ fans. My only complaint is that the lighting was pretty dark and if the musicians did not walk towards the center of the stage, then they were almost in the dark. I am a fan of seeing all of the band members on stage, not just the vocalist. This was my 5th or 6th time at this venue and some of the previous shows had much better lighting.

TSOL-Godfathers of Punk- what else do you need!

by BadBeau on 1/10/23The Observatory - Santa Ana

Jack Grisham is a staple of the Orange County punk scene for 40 years. TSOL never fails to deliver. Pure Anarchy for all the attendees and we wouldn't want it any other way! the opening acts are always on point and its always cool to hear up and coming bands that are shunned by mainstream dead radio. Thank you TSOL, Dwarves, The Crowd and Carpit for another kick ass show! see all you punkers in Vegas for PRB this year!
