About

Trisha Yearwood on Tour

Trisha Yearwood has one of the biggest voices in country music, but an undeniable part of her appeal has always been the gal-next-door quality that comes through in both her vocal delivery and stage presence. In concert, Yearwood comes across as an eminently relatable character — when she delivers her biggest hits, like "She's in Love with the Boy," "The Song Remembers When" or "Walkaway Joe," you get the unmistakable feeling that you're hearing total emotional honesty from someone who's experienced the same kinds of ups and downs you have. That's the kind of thing that helped make Yearwood a country superstar, and it's also what continues to make her one of the most beloved country singers on the concert stage. If she doesn't feel it, she doesn't sing it, so what she does sing invariably has a whole lot of heft behind it.

Trisha Yearwood in Concert

A Georgia girl by birth, Trisha Yearwood followed her passion for country music to Nashville in the mid 1980s. When she was first getting started in the business she crossed paths with another young hopeful named Garth Brooks, and a mutual admiration society was soon born. Brooks broke through first and then gave Yearwood a helping hand with kick-starting her career. She released her first album in 1991 and found success straight out of the gate with her No. 1 country single "She's in Love With the Boy." A dizzyingly long string of hit albums and singles followed in the years to come, establishing Yearwood as one of the key voices in '90s country music. As for that Brooks guy, after both he and Yearwood had been through divorces, they eventually tied the knot, becoming a mighty Nashville power couple, and partnering on record and onstage as well as in their private lives.

    Great Show

by KRye on 3/10/20Raising Cane’s River Center Arena - Baton Rouge

Trisha and the Baton Rouge Symphony were great. The setting not so much. It was too hot, concession lines too long, ran out of bottled water, and bathroom lines were long.

I’m not usually someone who would attend a symphony. My friends and I went to see Trisha Yearwood. Trisha and the Symphony sounded amazing! The symphony did a great job on all of her songs!

by HW on 3/10/20Raising Cane’s River Center Arena - Baton Rouge

All very good except her speaking was not clear, a microphone problem. Parking in garage, too long to exit, over 30 minutes. Need to work on more exit possibilites

    Expected more of Trisha’s hits

by Mully on 3/10/20Raising Cane’s River Center Arena - Baton Rouge

The first half of the show was Trisha singing Frank Sinatra songs that she performed in a recent album. After the intermission she returned with members of her own band supplemented by the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and did a great job singing her own popular songs. She sang well throughout the program but I expected more of her great hits. The BRSO did a great job throughout the program.

    One of the best...

by THAYMOM on 3/10/20Raising Cane’s River Center Arena - Baton Rouge

Trisha Yearwood - with the Baton Rouge Symphony - was one of the best shows to see anywhere! She is so talented! Loved the songs from her Let’s Be Frank album, but she was in her element with her songs in the second half. Great, great show!

    Great show uncomfortable venue

by Camellia on 3/10/20Raising Cane’s River Center Arena - Baton Rouge

We enjoyed Ms. Yearwood! Her music selections were perfect for the audience! I thought her war dry was very casual for this event. But the venue ... the floor seating ($200/each) was super cramped and it was waste—even Ms. Yearwood mentioned the heat—which made the cramped closeness even that much more uncomfortable.
