Great event, great company, great seats. Would see them again
Trisha Brown's work can best be described as fluid bodies in motion. Her performances are very inventive. A feast for the eyes, even if you are not a dance fan.
Set and Reset was performed to perfection. A prize event for DPAC. The third piece would have been more impressive if the wind machines and tossed clothing were kept offstage. TB is too impressive to need the baggage of low tech gimmicks.
I thought my wife would enjoy the performance for her birthday, I was wrong. The event was not explained well on the website. The first half of the performance there was a very short period of marching band music that faded in and out. It didn't seem to fit the performance. The remainder of the first half there was no music. The stage had no set just the dancers. Out of respect for the performers we waited until intermission to leave, unlike many others who left in the middle of the performance. Made an attempt to contact the event holder through their website and have had no reply. I felt that this was a waste of $168.40 and was disappointed that I chose this for a birthday gift. The venue is awsome, but this was a high price to pay just to see it.
