    Huge Disappointment

by PLSp on 11/8/10Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Tom Haney - who sang Garfunkel's part was hard to listen to. The entire concert was painful...how did they ever land a concert at this nice venue? The only redeeming element was Ori Huberman who, as the lead guitarist (tho he played several guitars, a mandolin and keyboards) did a good job. He should find a better gig.

    Tribute to Simon & Garfunkel-

by LallyJ on 11/8/10Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Fun, initmate, stroll back in time. Impressed with Mark Curran, Tom Haney, & Ori Huberman who did vocals, and several different instruments , I was impressed and fascinated how the musicians were so multitalented. I had not seen this kind of concert in a long time. My friends and I had a sweettime, better than expected.

Tribute to Simon & Garfunkel Butchered

by KimBK on 11/8/10Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

I could not believe how disappointed we were. We were 14 people and everyone felt the same. One of the singers was off key, flat and should not be singing these songs. Instrumentally, it was pretty good except the few times they were "off". Two of our group left at intermission. Simon & Garfunkel are my all time favorites and I was really looking forward to going, but they should be in the Guiness Book of records as being able to accomplish butchering and ruining every Simon & Garfunkel song in one evening. Also, absolutely no stage present and did not connect with the audience. Paid $90.00 per couple (including all the extra fees) and would not go to see them again if it were FREE. The guitar player that played a few different guitars and the keyboards was the best and needs to find a new/different gig.
