Toronto Raptors History

The Toronto Raptors were founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada. The Raptors have been the only NBA team based in Canada since the 2001–02 season. After acquiring eight-time All-Star Vince Carter in 1998, the Raptors set league-wide attendance records and made the playoffs from 2000 to 2002. Led by Carter, the Raptors earned their first playoff series win in 2001 and advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Raptors didn't return to the playoffs until the 2006–07 season, when they won the Atlantic Division title. After Masai Ujiri joined as the team's General Manager in 2013, the Raptors became a consistent playoff team, winning five division titles and having their most successful season in 2018. The following year, during the 2019 playoffs, the Raptors earned their first Eastern Conference title and went on to win their first NBA championship, defeating the Warriors in 6 games.

Fun & easy to navigate experience from start to finish

by Big Fan on 3/29/24Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

As having disabled seating & being with my disabled sister; we proceeded to the Fan service Desk with her walker. They so graciously escorted her in wheelchair to our section, showed us everything around us for our convenience & to our seats. They checked on us during the game, were there when we wanted to leave & escort right out of Scotia Bank Arena to escape the crowds. Big thankyou to Dylan on Fan desk, a real sweetheart. The entertainment all around the game was so fun too! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will be back! Thankyou so much!

by Herman on 3/20/24Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Early crowd to see Steph Curry, some people complaining about not being able to see behind me during warm ups as I was standing.. I told them to stand during warm ups as everyone was standing..

    Expensive NBA game

by Buzzkill on 2/25/24Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

No one forced me to overpay for meh seats. That's on me. Ticketmaster did a great job, easy electronic transfer, etc. Next time I'll wait outside arena until tipoff, then pounce.

Front Row Price, Not a very good Experience

by Front Row Fan on 2/19/24Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I missed the whole opening and starting line up because you guys lined up people who were late for the courtside row, stood them infront of me, and they got to watch the whole thing meanwhile I couldn't see a damn thing. I was incredibly mad. I paid $500 for this ticket and I get better views from higher up for this stuff. I will never spend that kind of money on a ticket again, why bother?

    Wheelchair Seating

by PooBah on 2/13/24Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Fantastic seats Sec 116A..."A"for Accessible, My son uses a wheelchair..why are these seats all taken by people who don't need "accessible seating"....This is crazy!! Limited seating for disabled folks....19,000 or more seats for everyone else!...sit somewhere else ! not in accessible area unless you or someone you are with needs these seats !! Think About it!!

    Expensive

by Rod on 2/12/24Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

It was a good experience being our first NBA game. Wasn’t as exciting as being at a Saskatchewan Roughrider game. Fans were kind of boring but it was a fun experience for our family. Very expensive to attend.
