About

TORCHE IN CONCERT:

For the last decade, hard rocking Florida outfit Torche has been blowing minds and melting faces with their bludgeoning guitars, heavy drums, and psychedelic vocals. Their unique sound combines the ferocity of metal with the accessibility of pop, making for a sonically expansive experience that's as blistering as it is catchy. At their live shows Torche leaves a trail of scorched earth in their wake with epic tracks like "Kicking" and "King Beef", thrilling ticket buyers with dramatic tempo changes, elemental breakdowns, and searing guitar riffs. Their music is savage without being noisy, striking a perfect balance that has fans of both metal and rock thrashing their brains out every time the band takes the stage.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Torche was formed in Miami, FL in 2004 by a group of musicians hailing from several other local bands including Floor and Cavity. They introduced listeners to their self-described "thunder-pop" sound in 2005 with an eponymous debut album, receiving favorable reviews from critics before hitting the road on tour. They followed up in 2008 with sophomore album Meanderthal, an ambitious and wide-ranging collection of songs that earned praise from Pitchfork and ranked at No. 1 on Decibel Magazine's Top 40 Extreme Albums of 2008 list. Tours with Harvey Milk and Coheed and Cambria followed, and in 2012 the group released their third album Harmonicraft to another round of stellar reviews. Electrifying performers known for their uncompromising creativity and hard-hitting sound, Torche continues to floor fans on their can't-miss tours.

    great music & event

by utasmom on 11/14/19Riot Room - Kansas City

This was a great event! Never been to the Riot Room but knew they had great bands. So glad that Torche booked there.. Thank You, Torch! It was a very small crowd which made it super chill and allowed people to be close to the band and the music. Two warm up bands helped get the night started and the crowd was great. Tickets were affordable and the area is pretty cool... walked from my hotel & back easily.

The band seemed a bit disinterested and more concerned with tuning keys instead of just rockin... Disappointed and left early

    Torche Was Awesome!

    by BGSU123456 on 10/19/12Howard's Club H - Bowling Green

Torche was amazing, loud, and awesome! Howards did an excellent job with the sound that night. It was a great setting to see these guys play in and I can not wait to see them in a huge venue. The first two opening bands were ok. Bathhouse Betty was real good.

    Part Chimp

by TP7782 on 11/11/11Mercury Lounge - New York

From England. Wanted to see a live gig whilst in New York, searched for ages online and then found this. Missed first band but saw part chimp and torche who were both v good. Mercury Lounge is a good venue, what you'd expect from a gig place - narrow bar, dark stage area, a few seats round the sides - a bit like the Manchester Student Union bar. Part Chimp are from London I believe - quite good, nothing extermely new or edgy...the last song was by far the best I think. Torche were also good, a little less hard core than I thought they were going to be...
