About

TONIGHT ALIVE IN CONCERT:

Australian punk-rock outfit Tonight Alive doesn't hold back at their high-energy live performances -- lead singer Jenna McDougall jumps around the stage with abandon as she belts out the lyrics to songs like “Breaking and Entering” and "The Edge" while the band shreds out hard-hitting solos. Whether they're working the crowd to get everyone pumped or tearing through instrumental breakdowns on their cover of Mumford & Sons' "Little Lion Man", Tonight Alive are guaranteed to get fans' hands in the air on their lively tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Sydney-based Tonight Alive was formed in 2008 by Jenna McDougall, Whakaio Taahi, Jake Hardy, Cam Adler, and Matt Best. They spent their first year creating their driving punk-pop sound and playing local all-ages shows before hitting the studio to record their debut What Are You So Scared Of?, which featured punk legends like Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte. In support of the release, Tonight Alive embarked on several tours with rockers Forever the Sickest Kids, Rufio, and Simple Plan, attracting hundreds of thousands of new fans throughout the US and Australia.  Their 2012 sophomore LP peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA charts, leading to a string of headlining shows and a gig on the Vans Warped Tour. Known for their electrifying stage presence, Tonight Alive deliver one exciting performance on their must-see tours.

    by SquishyPenguin1 on 3/14/16Masquerade - Atlanta

I had such a great time. I screamed I love you to Braden and he said I love you back. Cody was beyond amazing, I would love to see him again.

All of the bands rocked so hard!

    by Kpresley37 on 3/14/16Masquerade - Atlanta

The first band that played was adorable. Saywecanfly? Anyways, they were so cute. It was really cool seeing The Ready Set. I didn't know any of their songs except Love Like Woe, but it was such a great throwback. Set It Off was fantastic as always. Cody really knows how to capture a crowd like a professional. And as always, Tonight Alive was amazing. I've been going to their shows in Atlanta for a while now. The masquerade is such a great facility. It really has character and gives you an intimate feel for concerts.

    An incredible show

by AnotherSheerio on 3/14/16Masquerade - Atlanta

What a great lineup for a tour! SayWeCanFly and The Ready Set were excellent openers to get the crowd excited, and both Set It Off and Tonight Alive killed it! Not sure why Set It Off wasn't the last act though, since the crowd was definitely more hyped up during their set, but it was a fantastic experience regardless. Sound quality is often hit or miss at The Masquerade but it sounded great tonight, and the cool air being pumped into the pit was greatly appreciated! Very excited to see both groups again in the future.

    Set It Off was AWESOME!

    by 00MusicLover00 on 3/14/16Masquerade - Atlanta

The event was great.... all the bands performed well and as a mother I appreciated the lack of profanity. My husband and I were really impressed with the bands. My daughter was there to see Set It Off, it was our second time seeing them. We thought they were really good and their performance was better than last time. You can feel from their performance that they all truly love what they are doing so it was so nice to see their improvement on stage..... coming from a "MOM perceptive"..... I was so proud of them! :):):)!!! The only negative thing I can say is..... less of the F bombs would be nice. It wasn't that bad but when you can perform as great as they did I just don't think it's needed.

    Set It Off/Tonight Alive

by kidgrafix on 3/14/16Masquerade - Atlanta

1st the venue. I have seen a few shows at the Masquerade and I like the venue. But unless you get in with the first of the crowd it to get a good viewable spot it may be hard to see a lot of the show. I am tall and can see over alot of people and do not want to be crushed at the stage so I do not have a problem. Besides I need access to the bar. My thanks to Dana the bartender. Now the show. I enjoyed the whole night. I was pleasantly surpassed by the opening act (say we can fly) that I had never heard of or their music. The ready set was ok, but Set It off tore the place up. The tonight Alive was good but must hate the half the crowd left after Set It Off played and was clearly there to see Set It Off. While Tonight Alive was good, Set It off stole the show in my opinion. These guys get better every time I see them.

    Best night of my life.

by LoveTA on 11/3/13A and R Music Bar - Columbus

All I can say is that I love Tonight Alive more than I ever thought I could love a band. Seeing them live was absolutely sensational. The energy, the accuracy, the interaction. Truly an amazing evening.
