    Vertical Horizon: The Main Event

    by trisha11152 on 8/5/14Golden Nugget - Biloxi - Biloxi

We bought tickets because of Vertical Horizon. I'm SO GLAD that they played first before Tonic. Their show was wonderful! Everyone seemed to be having a good time and all were interacting with the audience in one way or another. If Vertical Horizion was the only band playing, I would have given this show 5 stars. We were really disappointed with the Tonic show. The vocals were completely unintelligable and the music was way too loud. The band members appeared to be bored and there was no audience interaction. We left after about 3 songs.

Knocked me off my feet just like they did in 1996

    by HottyToddy67 on 7/29/14Golden Nugget - Biloxi - Biloxi

I first saw Tonic before their first album ever came out back in 1996. From the first song to the last it was just as exhilarating as they were from Day One. Highly recommended.

    Tonic

by plouise on 7/29/14Golden Nugget - Biloxi - Biloxi

Concert was awesome, everthing I expected from Tonic and Vertical Horizon. The venue was great. Small enough to get up close to the musicians and large enough not to get stepped on. Thanks Golden Nugget for putting on a great concert.

Vertical Horizon rocked! Tonic...not so much.

by jasandem on 7/29/14Golden Nugget - Biloxi - Biloxi

The Golden Nugget Casino venue is intimate and great for being "up close and personal" with the performing bands. It's standing room only, which isn't ideal for those in the audience who desire to sit for periods of time. However, if you don't mind standing, you can freely move around the room, side to side and front to back. Vertical Horizon was the opening act and quickly got the crowd amped up for the show. The lead singer, Matt Scannell was charismatic, engaged the crowd, and shared some background about how a few of the songs were inspired and written. Tonic was the headlining act and although I am admittedly slightly bias with my love for VH, I felt that Tonic's performance was a little disappointing. The lead singer was clearly intoxicated and even appeared to smoke a joint during the performance. The vocals were sloppy at times and he seemed more interested in feeling a buzz than giving a good performance. At times it appeared that the band had to carry him. The longer they played, the more F-bombs he threw out. Before the end of Tonic's performance, I noticed several people exiting the venue. Highly recommend VH, don't recommend Tonic.

    Great Bands!!!

    by Bobby1012 on 7/29/14Golden Nugget - Biloxi - Biloxi

I saw Tonic several years ago in New Orleans, twice and they were amazing them and they are just as amazing now. Never had seen Vertical Horizon, did know many of their songs and they are great live. I love how well the 2 bands get along even coming out and playing with each other. Fantastic!!! Would go again in a minute!!!!

    Great show!

by Jude2006usa on 3/7/14House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Had a great time! All 3 bands were awesome. I've listened to them for quite some time but never saw them live before. I'm glad I made it this time.

    Tonic/vertical horizon/dishwalla

by Budman254 on 3/5/14House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Great show overall. House of blues Orlando was a great intimate venue to see these bands as long as you don't mind standing for 4+ hours at a gen admission show. Vertical Herizon had the most radio friendly hits, and great crowd interaction, though all bands were extremely talented and entertaining. At about $32 a ticket, this was a steal. Made me remember what if only I missed about mid 90's music

    Great show!

by TPKnight22 on 3/4/14House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Dishwalla was pretty good, although the set could have been longer (only 35 minutes). Vertical Horizon was AMAZING!!! Their drummer was awesome! Tonic came out at 10:45pm and rocked the House!

    I love Tonic

by TheAvatarofSet on 6/12/11Bears Den At Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - Niagara Falls

With the intimate atmosphere of the Bear's Den, Tonic played, as they called it, a "loose" set. Consummate performers, they kept the crowd entertained with witty extemporaneousness, combined with a setlist that featured their numerous, radio-friendly hits, as well as newer songs off the most recent CD. Tonic is proof that rock and roll is far from dead.
