    Thunderpants lacked Thunder

by K9bazo on 1/4/15House of Blues Houston - Houston

Went to see Thunderpants at House of Blues in Houston, Tx. First drinks were overpriced and performance was lacking something. I've seen a better 80's band (Spazmatics) at a less know venue and show was 10 times better. I could not recommend seeing the Thunderpants to anyone. If you want a 80's band I highly recommend the (Spazmatics)

Worst Cover Band I have ever seen

by GTLeach on 1/3/15House of Blues Houston - Houston

This was the worst cover band I have ever seen. High Schools bands are better than these guys. We left after after about 30 minutes. New Years Eve and the place was empty.

    Thunderpants New Years Eve

by NoSeating on 1/3/15House of Blues Houston - Houston

Band was good, no complaints there other than they should be booked to play until 1:30 or 2:00AM. The worst thing about the event was no seating other than for those that paid $200 + gratuity. This outdated concept of forcing people to pay for seats by not having other seats available is long viewed as poor event planning and causes customer dissatisfaction. I will never attend this event again because of this cheap tactic. This is the only reason I will not recommend this event again.

Great expectations but it was disappointing!

by MachinChose on 3/24/14House of Blues Houston - Houston

I'm not able to say if the band was good or not. Why? The sound balance was so badly done that we (we were five of us) could barely hear the singer and couldn't hear the guitar at all... I have seen several cover bands at House of Blues (Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Rush, Led Zeppelin...) and always liked the show. But for this one, we could only hear the overwhelming drums, and sometimes the bass guitar. For "Relax" (FGTH), for example, where the whole song is based on the rhythm given by the bass, it was just a background noise... We were lucky to know all the songs in our heads, so we could karaoke them and have a good time. The list of songs played was nice though, so nicely planned but extremely poorly executed...

Thank god the tickets were only $10. I didn't feel so bad when I ran out of there.
