    Theo Katzman

by Evan on 6/9/23Théâtre Beanfield - (anciennement Théâtre Corona) - Montreal

What an amazing show! Kind coat check worker. Quick bar service. Nice GA standing area with enough room. Clean bathrooms.

    A night to remember

by Steven on 5/17/23Barrymore Theatre - Madison

This may have been my favorite concert ever. Theo’s opener, his band, and his own musical self put on an incredible show. There was energy in that room—everybody felt it. At the end of the show, a technical glitch turned the stage mics off, and the band went acoustic. We all quieted down and listened to Theo sing with an unamplified voice. It was beautiful.

Ending the Tour with a BANG

by ThatLauraPerson on 5/17/23Barrymore Theatre - Madison

I can't stop thinking about this show. First of all, Theo is a fantastic performer and I've known this since I originally saw him as the opening act for Darren Criss at the Michigan Theatre in A2 back in 2013. He's one of those musicians who's better LIVE because he's able to constantly switch it up with various improvisations. It's absolutely epic. (If you've ever seen Vulfpeck live, you know this is true for them too.) Anyway, about 3 songs away from the end of the show the main PAs went dead at this show. It was right as Packy Lundholm was headed into his SICK solo on Plain Jane Heroin. But kudos to these fantastic musicians because they KEPT PLAYING! They decided to do the last two songs in a more acoustic style, since the PA problem I imagine would take time to diagnose and they were already so close to the end of the show. But Theo came out solo for "Nobody Loves You Like Your Mother", which was timely as it was Mother's Day 2023. Wow, what a special performance of that song. The audience here in Madison did a great job of LISTENING throughout this whole show, but right here was the climax. To get a room of people so focused in on a musician with no amplification was so special. And I know Theo must've felt the love! They closed out the show with tambourine and a shaker instead of drums on "That's the Life". It felt like Theo's version of a "Hey Jude" moment. Everyone was singing along too. Just lovely. I have to also give props to May Erlewine who opened the show with a stripped down set with just her & Packy. That was such a treat. Blessings to all these musicians as they take a quick break before beginning the international leg of this tour, seeing them here in the good ole' US of A was fantastic!! Much love!!

    Theo rocked, Theatre was...

by Abbo on 5/17/23Barrymore Theatre - Madison

Theo rocked our world as usual, and the theatre was decent until the end. During Theo's last song prior to the encore his sound went totally out and it was not fixed for the remainder of the show. It provided an intimate concert experience for the final songs, but I hate to think if it had happened sooner and we would have missed out on some stellar stuff... memorable but, would have been nice to hear him on his last few!

    Great music, nice venue

by The Roy on 5/15/23Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

Theo and the band are an energetic bunch and put on a great show with honest storytelling, raw emotion, and a positive vibe! Definitely something we need more of. The venue is was well organized and a great small show feel for fans who want an intimate evening with the artist.

    A very good time

by Abby on 5/12/23Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

The band’s energy was so positive and contagious, and Theo had great audience interaction. Add that to just really good music and it was an experience I highly recommend.

    Perfection

by Matt Shaw on 5/11/23Old National Centre - Indianapolis

Someone from the crowd threw him an ear of corn and he ate it. 10/10

    Crazy good

by RuthAnn on 5/9/23Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

OMG. Seriously one of the best concerts ever, and I've seen Theo a couple of times before. Love the new songs. 10 great songs. Theo and the band have such great chemistry, and are having a blast. I told someone after the show, "I would go back tomorrow night to watch it again."

It was a 3 year wait for this show and it was worth the wait

by VulfDork on 5/9/23Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

Katzman and crew were a musical marvel. They are all amazingly talented instrumentalists and singers on a musical train with Katzman's songs stoking the fire! Hard Work, 5 Watt Rock and You Gotta Go Through Me were standouts for me. Amid these beautifully written and flawlessly performed songs, he never forgets his roots and the importance of the people listening. He demonstrated his understanding of his fans and his place in their world when an audience member had a medical emergency during the show. Katzman stopped the show, extolled the crowd to be calm and accommodate the stricken audience member. He waited patiently until the victim was cared for and away from the crowd. He thanked us for our care and patience and then launched into another Katzman classic. After the show, I asked a young (12 years) fan what they thought of the message of Theo's show. "Very positive and peaceful" was the response. I have to agree.

Charismatic performance. Great banter with the audience.

by Wass on 5/1/23Citizens House of Blues Boston - Boston

Great live show, and a wicked fun audience. Band paused mid song to help address an audience member in distress. Was not clear from my vantage point what occurred, but very proud to support an artist that actively cares for the fans.
