Theatre Calgary Tickets

I had an extra night in Calgary and saw the play advertised. I have attended Theater Calgary before and found productions to be very professional. But this play was like an elementary school assembly program at downtown ticket prices. Loud and uneven. Volunteers from the audience muffed their lines or began snickering so much they could not speak. What a waste of a Friday night. I am not a local and wasn't in the mood for all the stupidity. I left at intermission and went to a movie. The sets were neat and the theater was decorated -- that's a lot of work for the technical staff. There were live musicians off stage. They bear no responsibility for this production.

A moving screenplay based on a fascinating figure,different perspectives on ethnic boundaries, the "white tribe's" ideas about keeping aboriginal history alive, wonderfully acted. The sets were amazingly creative. All in all, a sophisticated heart wrenching commentary on the Haida totems of the Canadian West Coast. Highly recommended.

We go every year and have never been disappointed...this year we took 7 children from ages 5 years old to 15 years old and they all loved it. Some of the children had tears in their eyes at the end...memorable performance for all. Highly recommend!!!

Great show, cast was very good, stage and use of space was amazing.
