Mashup duo the White Panda have elevated the genre to an art form, consistently making familiar material feel new again with their virtuosic combinations. Whether they're laying a Bowie vocal over Bruno Mars or spicing up the Game of Thrones intro theme with a little Rihanna, their uncanny ability to fuse two disparate tracks into one deliciously danceable banger never fails to impress. The duo have topped the Hype Machine with an astonishing 27 tracks since their formation, and the impassioned booty shaking they inspire on their high-octane tours makes it easy to see why.
Childhood friends Procrast, a.k.a. Tom Evans, and DJ Griffi, a.k.a. Dan Griffith, formed the White Panda in 2009 after discovering that they had each been producing mashups while attending college on opposite coasts. Their first three albums Versus (2009), Rematch (2010), and Pandemonium (2010) earned them a huge online following, and in 2011 they were one of Soundcloud's top five most-played artists. In addition to touring with Mac Miller and Mike Posner they've performed at Lollapalooza and headlined tours throughout the US and Canada. All of the White Panda's music, from their first track to their latest, is available for free download on their website -- a generosity they echo with marathon sets at their electrifying live shows.
