    Disappointed

by vintagerocker2 on 4/10/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

I love The View's albums, I think they are a great band. Too bad Kyle (the singer) was too wasted to perform this night. After about half an hour of sloppy, mediocre versions of their songs they had a 'drama' break, the band left the stage (angry), Kyle tried to do solo "Cigarettes and Alcohol". It sucked, too. Band came back and they tried to play some more, took a bash at "Same Jeans". End of show. I've seen the wasted rock star story before, it never ends well.

    RockNRoll nite

by leo4gzs on 4/9/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

Kyle (the singer) was trashed.. so trashed that he could barely sing.. at one moment he stopped singing and then he jumped down to sing a long with the crowd cigarettes and alcohol (the best moment of the evening) this clearly pissed off the rest of the band. The guy in the keyboard had issues the whole night and he was limited to play the tambourine and was complaining all the time he tried to play a note on the keyboard. For a while the guy in the bass took over on vocals to lead the songs and make the crowd sing.. these guys have good rockNroll songs, great attitude but apparently the lead singer took it too far that night. BTW, that one was their last concert in the US so I don't know if all the stuff that happened that night will be a normal thing for them... The crowd, however, was on fire that day.. Scottish people DO know how to have a great time.... If you like rockNroll you should go there.. definitely not an average concert but I still don't know if for better or worse.

by nosnhoj on 4/8/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Great show...opening act Stanley Odd...solid...The View...brilliant....felt bad about the turnout....maybe 60 folks...but without FNX, BCN, The Phoenix...breaking new bands must be difficult...a shame because these guys really are good and desere to be heard...would love for them to come back again1

I can't remember feeling (this) fantastic

by mic634 on 4/7/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

They played an epic sprawling, totally encompassing, thoroughly engrossing, head banging, fast-paced, simply amazing show. Just hope it doesn't take them too long to come back on another tour!

Great gig from a great band

by Nyolls on 4/7/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Very good band out of Dundee Scotland. They have not got any radio play, traction, or support over here in the states, but have a decent following over in the UK. I was surprised they did a US tour on their own due to the fact that they are not big over here. They played to a very small crown of around 100-150 people but rocked, sounded great, and even hung out in the venue just watching the opening act with the other fans. If these guys come back to the states as a supporting act, go see them!
