The worst we've seen in years.

by phdbaby1 on 4/8/13Des Moines Performing Arts - Civic Center - Des Moines

Pretty grim reality. We could forgive the sketchy choreography or totally off-key singing by the cast, however, the take-away message suggested for the kids by the show can put an adult into therapy for years, let alone a kid. The wolf's defense is this: I sneezed and blew the house down. And then I saw the pig was already dead. Since mother Nature made me a carnivore, I couldn't see a perfectly good pig go to waste, so I ate of the pig. Really, peeps? Are we teaching kids that pillaging is OK as well as not owing up to your mistakes? Oh yeah, the wolf goes free and a lame show-stopper ending follows. My six year old son came out with an "Oh, boy, did it suck!" before I could even open my mouth.
