The Topp Twins Tickets

We were recently visiting family in New Zealand and just happened to stumble onto a television rerun program which was half over. Various acts would come and go. All of them featured two people--sometimes two men and sometimes two women, but every act was hysterically funny. Eventually, we realized that there were only two people--two very talented, very funny ladies with a whole bunch of different personas, costumes and music. Finally we googled their name and found out they were going to be in Portland when we got home. We bought tickets and LOVED the show. I have no idea just how funny they really would be if I could actually understand more than half of what they are saying! The family still in NZ is jealous, and they have announced that if the Topp Twins ever return to Portland, we will all be there--front row center--for the evening! From the tv show we saw In NZ their audience seemed to include everyone. In Portland few heterosexual people came. The humor and the music certainly have a universal appeal. We were thankful that we knew who they were and when they would be here. We would never have caught the announcement if we hadn't known to be looking for it.

That is, they were simply amazing. They are very talented musically, have a quick wit, and offer a warm human nature. I laughed out loud many, many times, and their involvement with the audience is unique. I hope to see them return soon, and I will bring even more friends.

I love the Topp Twins. I saw their documentary in Seattle and had to make the drive down to Portland to see them perform live. It was totally worth it. It's impossible to not smile the whole time!

They were phenomenal--haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Liked the way they involved the audience. Highly recommend for people to see!
