Ever since forming in 2008 and releasing their debut album, 2012's My Father and the Hunter, two-time JUNO award-winning alternative group The Strumbellas have steadily released follow-ups containing every ounce of stomping, hand-clapping, alt-country gusto, from 2013's We Still Move on Dance Floors to 2016's Hope to 2019's Rattlesnake. They'll soon round the corner with a brand-new fifth studio album, Part Time Believer, a collection that signals The Strumbellas' grand return and rebirth.
Now with Jimmy Chauveau on board as lead vocalist, The Strumbellas spent the last four years writing, recording, and whittling 50 songs down to 12. Honed by producers Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Kaiser Chiefs), Keith Varon (Machine Gun Kelly), Stevie Aiello (30 Seconds To Mars), and Dave Schiffman (RHCP, The Killers), Part Time Believer continues The Strumbellas' long-standing tradition of blending anthemic, brightly coloured compositions with yearning, contemplative lyrics.
"I think people often feel like things are escaping them, or they're trying to grab on to something -- happiness, gratitude, professional or personal goals -- and for some reason, they just can't get there," says David Ritter, who handles piano, organ, percussion, and vocals. "Even if they get the thing they want, it doesn't feel the way they thought it would. A lot of these songs are about trying to, like, figure out why we're all feeling this way, and how we can find more peace in our lives."

The Strumbellas put on a really fun and energetic show. It was a great mix of all of their music.
The venue was really cool. Lots of room to dance and spread out but you could purchase seats as well. Both bands exceeded my expectations! The Strumbellas had the place rockin'!
This was a really great show. Was concerned at first about the venue, standing in general admission, checking/not checking our coats, etc... but History was great! Good sight lines to the stage, good sound and despite wearing a coat for several hours, I felt comforable the whole time. Bar was easy to get to, no big lineups, overall a very positive concert experience. Now the band, the Strumbellas were great. Lead singer commented that this was their biggest venue on the tour...maybe even ever...I'm not sure. Either way, this kinda blew my mind, how is this band not more popular?? I really enjoyed the music, the energy and the overall show. A band I'd likely go see again.
Great energy and amazing music. Everyone in the had crowd loved the show.
First time seeing them live, I will definitely see them again
This was my first time seeing The Strumbellas and they did not disappoint!! The River 92.5 had their RiverFeast to benefit the Greater Boston Food bank and The Strumbellas were the headliners. The venue was small and very personal. The band was energetic, interacted with the audience and played a good variety of their music. I highly recommend
The Strumbellas were amazing!! Their music, their interaction with the audience, I would highly recommend seeing them! And the venue was great.
The River Boston’s annual benefit night for the Greater Boston Food Bank was perfectly executed. Delicious food, great silent auction items, and THE BEST music. Jason Spooner Band was a solid opener, but The Strumbellas took the audience at Blue Ocean Music Hall to the moon and back! Would have paid to do it all again the next night!
Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury MA. Such a great show by both bands! Also a great venue!
