For New Year's Eve we saw the Seldom Scene at the Birchmere and they were wonderful as usual. I have seen them many times and they have had a few changes over the years, but they are still fantastic for taking many songs, even if they aren't bluegrass and singing them with the close harmony of bluegrass. I have enjoyed every concert to include this last one.
Thanksgiving is not Thankzgiving without The Seldom Scene and Dry Branch Fire Squad. First class musicians in both bands. Together they are the best Bluegrass event you will ever hear.
The Seldom Scene ignited my love for bluegrass music as a teenager and nearly fifty years later, they are still the best of entertainment. They are excellent musicians and are able to draw you in with humor and conversation. I thoroughly enjoyed this show.
The Seldom Scene concert was one of the most entertaining shows I have seen in a while. Also, they started on time, and played non stop. Great voices and harmony.

The Seldom Scene never disappoints. After all these years, we know and love their players, and were happy to return to the Birchmere after covid kept us away for years.

We did not know Dry Branch was not going to be there. I may have been the first to get tickets, and did not check back. I was disappointed, but must say I thought Seldom Scene were in good voice and instruments. So enjoyed the two sets.
These fellows continue a legacy of Americana music that is uniquely American. They really are our blue grass ambassadors to the world! The Birchmere is the perfect venue for this band. Very much feels like they are a house band!
Did not get to go because I was diagnosed with Covid the day of the concert. It was my 33 year anniversary too :(
