Opening acts don't get any better than this!!!

by SanSimeon on 5/10/17Pompano Beach Amphitheater - Pompano Beach

Bought tickets for Buddy Guy and really wasn't paying attention to who was the opening act! Suddenly I see familiar faces on stage and realize this show was a huge, huge bargain! I'd have paid to see either Stills or Shepherd alone none the less together and followed by Buddy Guy! Their guitar playing was great and it was a fantastic show. They worked well together and it was one amazing set. All in all a fantastic night of the blues on a cool night with the moon shining down through the Palm Trees.

The Rides appearing at House of Blues, Houston

by Slowrunjoe on 4/17/17House of Blues Houston - Houston

The Rides comprised of Stephen Stills, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and keyboardist Barry Goldberg. I had expectations of Stephen Stills but I was not sure what to expect from Kenny Wayne & Barry. This was a fantastic show with Kenny Wayne Shepherd burning up his guitar to such an extent that I would say that he is in the top 25 living guitarists. This was just a fantastic show from three top musicians

    Stills Finds Fountain of Youth

by cdfgvddsd on 4/17/17House of Blues Houston - Houston

Playing alongside the young guitar phenom that is Kenny Wayne Shepherd has rejuvenated Stephen Stills. He looks happy and seems to enjoy himself on stage. They give a solid 1 hour and 45 minute show of mostly the music on their 2 albums. Yes, they dip back for "Love the One You're With" and "Blue on Black" but don't go thinking you're gonna hear a CSN show or a solo Kenny Wayne presentation. Barry has the bonafides and keeps the whole thing moving along and for us Texans it's good to see Chris Layton back there laying down the beat. A very good show that shows Stephen is still relevant and of course also brings back some bittersweet memories.

    Kenny Wayne Sheppard!

by Penscola on 4/7/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

While Stephen Stills had some extremely memorable moments, "Johnnys Garden", Kenny Wayne Sheppard stole the show every with every lick on that guitar. The two complimented one another, but had rather seen Crosby, Stills and Nash, and a separate Kenny Wayne Sheppard show, both incredible!

    Music was great

by chefsandy99611 on 4/7/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

I'm thrilled that we had the opportunity to go to the show, the music and Kenny Wayne Shepherd's performance were fantastic! Unfortunately, I think Stephen Stills singing career is well done and over. We would cringe every time he took over the mike. His voice was cracked, reedy and just horrible. His guitar playing was phenomenal!

    Wow!

by Pamn127 on 4/6/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Fell in love with Stephen Stills all over again. Fantastic concert. Kenny Wayne knocked my socks off, the kid's really good! Wish Barry Goldberg had a more prominent (louder) role. What I could hear of him left me wanting more.

    Disappointing

by Magster1 on 4/6/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

I was so excited that Kenny Wayne Shepherd was coming nearby in concert! He's an amazing, talented musician. I was NOT disappointed in his performance. The Keyboard player was also quite good. The really sad (and painful to listen to) part of the concert was the performance by Steven Stills. He is a great musician but it's time to call it quits. He's had a broken jaw and is severely hearing impaired. The vocals were awful, really awful. Knowing his music from CSN it was shocking how bad he sounded. The audience was polite and applauded, giving him the respect he deserves as a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, but there were plenty of looks of shock and cringing on some of the lyrics. It would have been better if he'd just played the guitar and let someone else do the vocals.
