The Rhubarb Show was absolutely delightful. After not being able to get tickets to see the live broadcast, this seemed like the next best thing. And boy was it fantastic. The show as more relaxed, the magician was hysterical, and the musicians communicated well with the audience.
I would recommend this show to anyone! We had a wonderful time, and we couldn't stop laughing!
This was our first Rhubarb show and we were pleasantly surprised. The mouthpiece and bands were great!
Besides the performers, inclusion of guest appearances, and the general order of the show, don't come expecting your scheduled programming from Prairie Home Companion. Instead, expect new material, stuff that isn't held back by the visual and other restrictions of radio. Past that, you should have a fine time, as-long as you're more interested in the "who" rather then the "what".
Lots of fun. It's not Lake Wobegone, but it's close.
First time seeing Garrison Keillor, we had a GREAT time. Funny jokes, awesome music. Flew in from Georgia for the weekend, just to see him!!!
Enjoyed the show and enjoyed the Fitzgerald Theater. The music was great and the show in general was good. Would like to have heard a little more Garrison and a little less music, but it was a good show overall. I think Garrison is a true gift to all the listeners of public radio and I hope he stays at it for a few more years.
We enjoyed the Rhubarb Show and highly recommend it. If you are in St. Paul, MN, go see the show. You won't be disappointed.
What a great night! Garrison Keillor was his normal inimitable self, witty and dry and full of acerbic wit. There was magic, comedy, sound effects, stories, music. The Katy Vernon Band was terrific, a great sound. A great night out, fun fun fun!
Wonderful show, great music very entertaining. I would go again.
