About
Based on Mel Brooks' 1968 film of the same name, "The Producers" is about Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom's attempt to stage the worst musical ever and run away with their investors' money. When the curtain goes up on their gigantic singing-and-dancing spectacular, though, they realize their plan has gone ridiculously wrong. Full of hilarious jokes and sharp satire, "The Producers" is pure fun!

The actors, actresses and orchestra were all excellent. We loved every minute of the show, and are still singing the songs and talking about various scenes. So much fun for our entire family of six!

by Marold1973 on 8/1/12Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodI don't want to be overly gushy, but this show was amazing. The cast was great and the costumes and set was perfect. Dane Cook was a HUGE surprise. When I purchased the tickets I questioned the casting choice for him, but BOY WAS I WRONG!! He was absolutely AMAZING! He even knows how to sing!! I'm still talking about it. it was great to see some cast from the movie reprise their roles. The roles of Carmen and Roger were fantastic. The ONLY two issues I had that kept me from giving the show a total 5 star rating was as followed: 1. The audio could have been just a touch louder. Was hard to hear at some points of the show. 2. As much as I think Rebecca Romijn had the look and acting ability for the role of Ula, her voice was not strong enough for the role. I'm so sorry. But its true. She was flat on quite a few notes and when she "belted"... it didn't belt. It really starting to take away from the show at times. Again, in every other factor, she was GREAT as Ula. But the voice was not strong enough for the role.
