    Black Watch

by cbzorgo on 3/5/13Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge

Outstanding show. The only bummer was the small stage, and the fact that half the band wasn't there (deployed or in pre-deployment). It was a relatively short set, but worth the time. As they rarely seem to come around anymore (used to be every 4 years, it's been 7 since the last tour), any chance to see them was welcome.

    Black Watch et al

by drumcorpsdog on 3/4/13Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge

Professional presentation but unimaginative. Not much else to say but this silly system requires you to write more.

    Piping Hot!

by Cybella on 3/3/13Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge

Absolutely fantabulously unique musical experience. The kilts alone were worth it (heh, ladies!), much less the high-stepping, skirling pipes and tattooing drums. And of course, the famous badge of Scottish masculinity, the Sword Dance!

    Celtic Music Celebration

The music was inspiring. The choreography could use a little work.

Watch and listen to The Blackwatch.

by abrummie on 3/3/13Valley Performing Arts Center - Northridge

This was a wonderful experience! The men and women put on an excellent show full of precision marching and stirring music. We were even able to watch Highland dancing performed by men who are also soldiers! No one can match the Brits. for ceremony. Fabulous! Come back soon.

    Black Watch

by piper140 on 2/11/13Music Hall Center - Detroit

A bit more piping & a little less brass band The brass band played some unrecognizable tunes, people like to hear the old favorites. The pipes & drums marched a bit better than the brass band. Nice venue Amazing grace when on too long.

Bagpipes are an amazing instrument. When you combine multiple bagpipes with drums, you have just an awe inspiring show. The Band of the Scots Guard was wonderful as well! Only complaint is the inconsiderate morons who like the sound of their own voices. This venue is small so there is really not a bad seat in the house if you are there for the music/sound. If you want to see the performenrs up close, obviously site closer to the stage.

    Scotland's finest on parade.

by Burnbank on 2/11/13Music Hall Center - Detroit

A splendid display of Scotland's best bands. Rousing music and marching presented in grand style to an enthusiastic audience.
