    Magical

by Mark on 7/27/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Orchestra was fantastic. There’s no better way to describe their performance. The event at the Mann was also such a fun and delightful experience. We picnicked, and sat on the lawn and even in the heat it was lovely.

    Wonderful experience

Live musical soundtrack to Harrys Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Whole experience was just magical. Highly recommend it.

    Sorcery!

by Annie D. on 7/26/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

Watching HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone on a big screen and listening to John Williams’s score played by the Philadelphia Orchestra was the best of two worlds! It was worth sitting in the July heat with like-minded fans. All the reserved seats have good views. Food options are limited but you can bring your own. There are plenty of beverages available for purchase. VIP parking was worth the extra cost: it is a challenge leaving the Mann.

    Great performance

by Roger on 7/24/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

Excellent performance by the orchestra. The cellist was a standout. The post show fireworks are not visible from the top lawn. They appear to be launched from the Belmont plateau area and not behind the stage as some expected. Overall terrific night. Would definitely go again.

    Wonderful program

by Wayne M on 7/24/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

I met with a friend after she got out of work for the concert. She's had some family issues lately which have had her on edge. We brought a picnic dinner and shared a bottle of wine. We got to the Mann about 90 minutes early and we were able to relax and take her away from her family situation for a few hours. She was happy that the orchestra chose a program that really did not include Tchaikovsky's ballets and focused on some of his symphonies. By the end of the evening she had decompressed and really enjoyed the music and the following fireworks.

    Mommy and Daughter night

by Jones Girls on 7/24/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

My daughter’s first time and she was in awe. With seats in the PIT; we were able to point out every instrument. (loved every minute of it) Already asking when we will be back. Thinking of surprising her with the Star Wars show! THANK YOU PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA

    Magical summer evening!

by Rob M on 7/24/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

Sat on the lawn on a warm summer evening listening to Tchaikovsky played by brilliant musicians followed by fireworks. What’s not to love?

    Disappointed

by jsumac on 7/24/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

Instead of playing the most popular pieces of Tchaikovsky the director picked the most soporific ones. The program was finished abruptly and the iconic 1812 overture was not played out of absurd political correctness. Fireworks started unexpectedly. Sad to see that what it used to be a great show has become a boring thing. I don't think I will be returning to this show. I brought my entire family and all of them were disappointed.

    Phila Orch 10. Ticketmaster 1

by Mike on 7/24/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

The PO is always a 10! Great musicians making great music to share with the city and the world. The cello soloist was also quite good. The ticket process thru Ticketmaster is always tedious and not that user friendly. And as always, the never tell you what seats are really available. They just lie. No terrace tickets the system says. Arriving at the Mann, there were many, many seats in the terrace section available. I would appreciate a ticket system that is accurate as to what seats are really available. Don’t play games. The security checkpoint getting into the Mann Center was well organized and thorough. The lines flowed very smoothly and quickly. Orchestra and the Mann both get a 10, and Ticketmaster gets a 1 - and that is being kind.

Great music and fireworks, but QR display too cumbersome

by Nat in Mt. Airy on 7/24/22TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

What could be better than the Orchestra outdoors on a warm night followed by great fireworks. They went on much longer than I expected: great bonus. Tchaikovsky's music was the perfect entree to the fireworks. I had to go to the box office to get the tickets because the Ticketmaster cell phone system was too cumbersome for my aging brain.
