Hands down the best concert I've ever been to. I originally got the tickets because of their openers, The Walters, but I had such a good time watching The Orwells too. The fans were absolutely crazy and the venue was awesome. It has been a week since the concert and I still can't stop thinking about it.
They are amazing, one of the best bands coming up right now
Orwells were fantastic, even their openers were great. Crazy fans it was awesome.
Probably the best new rock band out there today. They killed at this show. See them before they start playing the Garden and tickets are $100.
I loved the opener, super amazing and I was afraid that they were gonna steal the show but in the end, it was a complete package. The Orwells put on a fantastic show also despite how some people were acting towards the lead singer. Overall, completey loved the night and the two fantastic shows--also got to meet both leads at the merch table.
Absolutely killed it. Venue was beautiful, spacious yet close-knit all at once.
They both blew me away and the concert exceeded my expectations. They were lively, exciting and they sounded incredible. No complaints at all.
The Bowery Ballroom was packed and the crowd went crazy during the Orwells high energy, charismatic set. Rock & roll like it oughta be; like it used to be. One after another, audience members jumped on stage and jumped back into the crowd, all of them caught by the enthusiastic crowd. Every song rocked, with lead singer Mario Cuomo leading the antics with his all-in wild-eyed singing style, always interacting interacting with the crowd, and even climbing an attached ladder mid-song. The band was totally into it, and so was the crowd. A young band who understands rock, with a big future awaiting them. Their new "hit" Who Need You, was a highlight of the evening. A fantastic show.
It was just a super fun show. To start off, Bowery Ballroom is always a great venue, lounge area down stairs, stage upstairs with balcony open to all, multiple bar areas, it has something for everyone. In terms of the show itself both bands really knew how to have a good time and brought that energy to the crowd. The opener, Twin Peaks really proved themselves, as I had never heard of them before, this tour should really help get their name out there. The Orwells were just crazy and fun with Mario Cuomo really going all over the place and the rest of the band backing him up with quality music. It was a really fun show I won't forget anytime soon!
