The ballet was beautifully performed however the audience was less than stellar. The Hershey Theatre ushers were forced to continue seating late comers more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. In addition, a number of people were leaving their seats in the middle of the performance, only to return and create additional disturbances. It was an insult to all the hard work and effort of the performers and instructors.
Very beautiful show and enjoyed it immensely. The children did a fantastic job. Only negative was a little bit of downtime between scenes. Would prefer to see more dancing and less acting out as in looking through the key hole. .
It is good to see such beautiful talent performing an awesome historical rendition.
first time ever buying tickets through Ticketmaster, and everything went smoothly. Nutcracker we took my granddaughter to see, she was amazed to say the least. Perfect day, will go again next year
The entire ballet was wonderful. Greatly enjoyed every moment. Dancers were perfection. Refreshments at intermission needs some help. Lines way too long. I would recommend having a wine and beer line, and separate lines for non alcoholic beverages. Many kids could not get a drink, because of all the people in line for beer and wine, and time ran out. Again, the ballet was terrific.
I really enjoyed the performance, the children were wonderful
It was a great performance. And the costumes were fantastic!!
The Central Youth Ballet performers were amazing. It was truly a fantastic performance. The Hershey Theater is a beautiful place. What could use better flow is how those attending the show are scattered throughout the entrance of the theater outside the doors into the theater. Maybe the vendors can be moved to a different area but leave the reception area for the patrons. The patrons can line up in front of the doors as they arrive. The staff can use those movie theater ropes and direct the patrons to stay within those ropes. The way people push, shove, and cut others in line while they are waiting outside the doors to enter the actual theater space is very abrupt, uncomfortable, and concerning. There need to be better crowd control measures. Unfortunately, not everyone has situational awareness or decorum in certain settings.
They were wonderful as always (I still can't figure out how they do "Mother Ginger"). Getting tickets was a royal pain. Didn't they have a box office one could call in previous years? A ticket on a cell phone... I had never heard of such a thing and had to do a work-around.
