    Nassau Pops Cerebral Palsy Gala

by Schreeched on 10/18/18Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

I love the Pops Orchestra and attend various concerts and events over the years. My criticisms are that they seem to get stuck in playing most like a band-moderate to loud all the time, with no nuances and subtleties... Fast and thunderous and plain over powering. But they are a fun group to listen to and I love the Pops music etc... They would vastly improve if they started playing like a fine tuned modulating orchestra... I know they have the talent to do this so it gets frustrating to settle for "mediocre" but with great enthusiasm. Regarding the Frankie Valle show. OMG the lead singer was awful. Constant screaming and screeching at the top of his lungs. Sad. My 89 yo Mother said she was glad she forgot her hearing aids... They put on a substantial amount of music. Maybe sing less and do better... It seemed in the first few numbers there was an issue with equipment and/or the mixer. Not their fault then but it never got better from the beginning...I don't know if it was a lack of rehearsal time with the orchestra or that they just amped it up for a large auditorium. Disappointing because again I know it could've been better.

Nassau Pops and Linda Eder - pure Magic

by JohnsV on 3/25/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

Despite suffering from allergies - Linda Eder's performance was nothing short of spectacular with a stunning voice you miss when she walks off the stage. The Nassau Pops are a pure musical showcase under Lou.Panacciulli. Creation members amazed. Overall - spectacular performances!

    Miserable

by Preppymommee on 3/21/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

A sad concert. The orchestra sits all on one level so you can't see much. Would have loved to have seen the horn section, the flutes and clarinets...any musician beyond the first rows. The microphone was inadequate for Linda Eders voice. Did they do a sound check? Then, half way thru, she gave up, citing hoarseness. Nobody wants her to hurt her voice, nor do we want to drive an hour and a half for a poor concert. The bright side, money goes to charity.

    Nassau Pops & Joe Piscopo

Outstanding overall performance. Joe played the crowd as if it was Vegas & not Tilles.

    Nassau Pops always exceptional!

by ACTR on 12/30/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

Knew I would enjoy the comparable skills of Nassau Pops - but also enjoyed the dancers and singers who were challenged but so talented. AND - the performers playing the Beatles were personable and talented and so enjoyable. Excellent show of music. Finally, excellent DJ choice!

    Nassau Pops with Strawberry Fields

by Musiclover200 on 11/19/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

Show was fantastic. Symphony was great, and even better with Strawberry Fields! Creation, part of UCP, was also spectacular.

Nassau Pops and Linda Eder - spectacular!

by ArBre on 10/30/13Tilles Center Concert Hall - Greenvale

The show was excellent - the Nassau Pops started the program with a beautiful combination of Broadway music - their sound was so clear and vital - absolutely wonderful. Linda Eder is one of my favorite performers - she once again brought the audience to its feet with her incredible rendition of songs such as Don Quixote.
