    Review

by Lockey on 10/14/23Brighton Music Hall presented by Citizens - Boston

Great show at a great venue. I had never been to the Brighton music hall before and i elk pleasantly surprised. The staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating. You can get a clear view of the stage from almost anywhere. The only bummer was after the chameleons played ( They were amazing ) I would say at least half the crowd left :( I thought the mission put on a great show but by the end and it did run late the crowd had thinned out more

    A great show!

by Kat on 10/14/23Brighton Music Hall presented by Citizens - Boston

I always enjoy all the shows at Brighton Music Hall and The Mission UK was no exception! Their accompanying bands, Theatre of Hate and The Chameleons were brilliant, as well!

    Finally!

by AtlNitram on 10/11/23The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

Finally the show that was supposed to happen last year. And I got to see The Chameleons live!!! Had not been to the new Masquerade- rougher part of town with some boarded up areas and graffiti in the stairways from the parking. That said we were in Hell and I liked that part of the venue. The music by all three bands was great - esp The Chameleons!!!

Great Evening of British Post Punk

by Getting Old on 9/17/23White Oak Music Hall - Downstairs - Houston

The Mission did a great job with their set. The only problem...they had The Chameleons on before them, who were phenomenal as always. I think most everyone would've preferred switching those two around. I noticed halfway through The Mission's set that about 25% of the audience had already left (meaning they were there primarily to see The Chameleons). That's not a slam against The Mission, but it was noticeable. The only mis-step in this billing was having Theatre of Hate open the evening. The bass player was lights out, but the band didn't connect with the audience at all (would've preferred Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry personally). But overall, a great evening at a fantastic concert venue (White Oak Music Hall).

    Epic!

by Hepcat on 9/13/23The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

This show was truly epic! All 3 bands played their hearts out. The fans thoroughly enjoyed the show and bands fed off of the energy and atmosphere. It was a spiritual experience!

    Mission brings it

by Cult mike on 9/10/23Baltimore Soundstage - Baltimore

Mission uk still sound great. Wayne's voice is rich and strong. Simon's guitar work is inventive and fresh. Craig' bass playing is a strong backbone. Good set list that they have been changing up every night. Saw them the next night in Pennsylvania and again the same. They are in top form. Wayne hussey may be the coolest rock star nobody talks about.

    Still Sound Good

Good show, nice small venue. The band still sounds good, as does the lead singer’s voice. Cool tshirts too!

    Roles should have been reversed

by KL on 9/9/23Baltimore Soundstage - Baltimore

First off all 3 bands were great but The Chameleons stole the show. They should have been the headliner as it seemed most people were there to see them. After playing favorites like Soul in Isolation & Swamp Thing Mark Burgess could have read the phone book the rest of the evening and people would have been satisfied. This is not a slam on The Mission as they sounded great opening with Beyond the Pale, playing favorites such as Wasteland, Butterfly on a Wheel, and encoring with the awesome Tower of Strength. It was a bit discouraging to see people leaving during their set though. I’m sure the band noticed this as well. I understand that this was the opening night of the tour so I’m sure there were butterflies (pun intended) that had to be worked out by all the bands. I want to give a shout out to Theatre of Hate as they were impressive as well. I couldn’t help but laugh as the bass player was doing his best Joe Strummer impression. Overall the show was great but I thought The Chameleons should have been the headliner, or at the very least co-headliners.

    Worth the wait!

by kingpin025 on 9/24/13Club Nokia - Los Angeles

I discovered The Mission while stationed in Japan in 1986 by picking up a cassette of Gods Own Medicine at Tower Records in Tokyo. I'd hadn't heard any of their music prior to that. I loved their music from the start and it's been is a loose rotation in my listening file ever since. I'd not had the opportunity to see them before this show. Fast forward to now. Needless to say I'm stoked when I arrive at the venue. That's saying something as I see 30-50 shows a year. At the time I had no idea what to expect, very few bands that have been around this long sound as good now as they did then. I wouldn't have believed better, but in this case they were better live than any recording of them I've heard. Right from the beginning Wayne and the boys were smooth and polished. There was not one bad note or chord that I noticed all night. If these guys are not in your favorites on Tickemaster or in your tracking list on Songkick they should be. I was very surprised to see how few seats were sold to this show. You can bet I'll be in the crowd any time The Mission is within 200 miles of LA! Oh! Wayne proclaimed himself the 2nd best lead singer of all time. I'm still very interested to know who he thinks #1 is.
