    The BOOSH Are Amazing!!!!!

by BooshKitten on 7/28/094th and B - San Diego

I Love The Mighty Boosh, they were awesome. The drinks at the 4&B were expensive and the venue was so-so.

Loved the Boosh, Hated the venue

by mtpalms on 7/26/094th and B - San Diego

I guess for a $5 ticket (+ fees), one shouldn't complain too much, when one gets to see an act in a 1500 capacity club, who sell out arenas and concert halls in Britain. I've loved The Mighty Boosh since an English friend sent me seasons 1 & 2 and said, "watch them, you'll love them". Well I did, and I've been a fan ever since, also seeing season 3 and the live performance on DVD. When I had a chance to see them in San Diego, I didn't hesitate. Even though I heard bad things about the club, I had seen the live DVD and knew they couldn't pull that type of show off there anyway, and I was right. We were treated to an abridged show with minimal effects. I was fine with that. The Mighty Boosh put on a fine performance with the props they had and played it as fresh as if they had just made it up. I was not disappointed in them at all. The venue, 4th and B, lived up to it's poor reputation. The doors were supposed to open at 10 pm, and they didn't let us in until 11:30. I don't care if a show starts late, but making people stand in a line an hour and a half past the time your ticket says you are to be admitted is uncalled for. The worst, however was the sound. It was loud enough, but the sound was so distorted and the acoustics so bad, you couldn't understand what the actors were saying most of the time. If I hadn't seen the skits and variations on the skits already, I would have had no idea what was going on on stage. Tellingly, at the end of the show, Noel Fielding thanked the crowd and promised a "much better show next time". This would actually be a great place for live shows if the management would just do something about the acoustics and sound system. It seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot for not doing this and attracting better acts on a more regular basis. I read reviews about 4th & B to prepare myself for what the experience would be like, and time and time again, people complained about how lousy it sounded in there, whether it was music, a performance or about anything else.

    A-MAZING!

by decrepitmonkey on 7/26/094th and B - San Diego

I couldn't believe that I was standing only feet away from The Mighty Boosh! I was in town for the San Diego Comic Con and thought it only logical I pick up tickets for my friend and I, and at only $5 a pop, I'd be crazy not to! Honestly, this show was the most amazing part of my trip and far more impressive than anything I'd experienced at Comic Con. Thank you, Noel and Julian, for giving me a wonderful evening! Please come back soon :)

by jhubes on 7/26/094th and B - San Diego

well worth the effort and a great value.some of the bits were from the live dvd show they did in Uk. the Boosh put on a fun show w/ good vibes and were very down to earth afterwards. got to meet almost whole cast on back steps of loading area. -sadly no cameras were allowed for performance but apparantly if you had iphone you got away with video of stage performance?

    Mighty Boosh rocked San Diego!!!!!!

    by Outtacontrol56 on 7/25/094th and B - San Diego

BEST $5 I ever spent on the ticket to see the Mighty Boosh in one of their first ever shows in the US! It was fantastic! The night could not have been more perfect! The venue was excellent, parking a breeze. Met up with friends there and came away with new friends. Met the Boosh, drinks were fabulous, Boosh staff were so much fun to meet and hang with, but most especially I must commend the 4th & B staff from Liz at the Window and on the phones to the bartenders to the Security. I can't wait to have the chance to go back for another show at 4th & B! It was one of the funnest nights out I've had in a long, long time! Oh and the Boosh were HYSTERICAL and their DJ set was rockin! Hope to see the boys back in SD real soon!

    The Boosh was a Blast!

by Obicularis on 7/25/094th and B - San Diego

Great show. The Boosh are even funnier live. They performed a mix of their comedy spanning their career. They did music, silly skits, bantered with the audience- it was great fun.

The Boosh is Loose and They're a Little Bit Raw!

by TonyHarrison on 7/25/094th and B - San Diego

Awesome. Hopefully their first show in SoCal won't be their last. Yeah, it was a little half-assed and fan-servicey, but it was The Boosh live, and that's something you just can't get around here.
