About

Despite sharing their name with a northeastern state, the Maine formed in 2007 in Tempe, AZ, a collegiate suburb of Phoenix. Most of the bandmembers -- singer John O'Callaghan, guitarists Kennedy Brock and Jared Monaco, bassist Garrett Nickelsen, and drummer Pat Kirch -- were in high school at the time, and the guys wasted little time turning their '90s radio rock band influences into a familiar, infectious pop-punk sound. The Maine signed to Fearless Records and released a five-song concept EP, The Way We Talk, in 2007. After performing on the Vans Warped Tour one year later, the group issued a full-length debut album, Can't Stop Won't Stop, which was produced by emo-pop veteran Matt Squire. The record peaked at number 40 on the Billboard charts and caught the ear of Warner Bros. Records, who signed the Maine to a major-label contract in 2009. After releasing a deluxe version of Can't Stop Won't Stop later that year, the group returned to the studio, eventually emerging in 2010 with the sophomore album Black & White. ~ Steve Leggett, RoviDespite sharing their name with a northeastern state, the Maine formed in 2007 in Tempe, AZ, a collegiate suburb of Phoenix. 8123 family knows how to rock

by Kay on 1/31/24The Van Buren - Phoenix

The Maine never disappoints. They are true performers, you can feel how much they care about their fans, and you know no matter how many times you see them each time will be special. The way they show up for their fans has created a fan base community that is unmatched and makes going to shows like going to family reunions. I went to both Phoenix nights and they were equally amazing, with a slight change in set list to keep things interesting.

    Electric Friday night

by Erica on 1/22/24The Van Buren - Phoenix

The Maine are great performers, and no place better for a home town show than the historic Van Buren. Also a big fan of the outside patio bar, the line is usually much shorter than inside making it super easy.

Attended the two Phoenix shows (01/19,01/20) and I had the best time of my life! They’ve been my favorite band since they started and only go to see them for the first time this weekend. Excellent performance and so down to earth, cool dudes. 1000000/10 🪩🖤

    A real good time

by Mimi on 12/15/23Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - Nashville

I sprung for the Bowling Lanes and the VIP booth and I am so glad I did! As an adult, I find standing in the crowd is a little exhausting and people are so rude. While I really enjoy bowling, after a long day of work I wasn't as excited about it as the day I booked. I may not book the bowling lanes before a concert again. However, the service and atmosphere was 10/10 and would bowl there again. The openers, Daisy Grenade and Flor really set the tone for the rest of the night. The Maine were also amazing! I think the band does a great job of working the crowd and really put on a good show for us!
