AMAZING vocals and energy live!!! The music video playing in the background was a great addition to the set. I've seen Ludlow Thieves across NYC and Boston and this is the best show to date. Up and up!

Ludlow Thieves Rocked the House !

by TFNY1 on 1/8/12Mercury Lounge - New York

Danny Musengo, lead vocalist and Danny Teicher the lead guitarist stole the show! Musengo has a powerful and moving stage presence coupled with a seasoned voice. Teicher one senses is more capable an instrumentalist than tonight's performance allowed him to demonstrate -- a hint of which we got when he switched the guitar for playing a smaller mandolin-like instrument while the larger guitar still was hanging on him. There was also a lovely woman on an acoustic violin with an external microphone and were it a longer performance I would have wanted to hear more of what she can do. The drummer was excellent and the overall sound balance of five musicians -- there is a lead female vocalist as well -- was spot on. Something often neglected in smaller live event settings. Congrats to the technical team for being attentive. The room was filled with several supporters of 'Ludlow Thieves' who knew several of the lyrics and at several moments during the show the room swayed to the performers on stage. The Ludlow Thieves feel like an integrated ensemble with a complicated sound which pretends to be just another rock and roll band -- and yes; they did and can bring the house down leaving all swaying and in a bit of a daze. Great show.
