Awesome! Best Big Swing Band for nearly 90 years did not disappoint!
he music is as relevant today as it was 60 years ago. If you like big bands and swing, this is the way to swing it.
The concert was superb. The seating wasn't too pleasing, poor viewing, & the seats too close
The forum was a perfect size. And what can you say about the Count Basie orchestra that isn't beautiful. Lizz Rite was great also, nice and smooth. I would definitely go again It was our first official outing besides the market! Oh and I was named after the song April in Paris so that was the best song of course. Sincerely, April
We had a fabulous evening, once we got into the venue. Not happy with the inefficient way that Ticketmaster has implemented of retrieving tickets via the mobile app. There is no option to print your tickets from home and the mobile app is extremely slow.
The Soraya is a first class venue hosting wonderful entertainment including The Count Bassie Orchestra featuring Lizz Wright. Ms. Wright’s performance was stellar. Her voice was like audio velvet - rich, smooth and full of depth and soul. Having this venue in our neighborhood makes every night a potential date night. Bravo!
Not enough Basie’s music. Next time play his music. That’s the band’s name.
THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME ATTENDING THE "WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL" AND THE VENUE WAS BETTER THAN I ANTICIPATED. PLUS, THE THEIR SOUND SYSTEM WAS FLAWLESS. IT WAS A SMALLER, MORE INTIMATE SETTING, WHICH I LOVED. YOU REALLY FELT A PART OF THE VENUE, NOT JUST A SEAT IN AN AUDITORIUM. I WILL BE GOING BACK AND RECOMMENDING THE DISNEY CONCERT HALL TO FRIENDS.
Really enjoyed the concert and the variety of singers there! It was beautiful and fun! The only thing that would have made it better would have been more well known songs... too many random songs we didn't know were played and some really famous ones were missing...
You think you are going to a concert to listen to Frank Sinatra's greatest hits, when actually you don't hear any of them at all. Seth Macfarlane was the absolute best part of the night, who knew he could sing?! The band was great, but they played music that nobody in the crowd wanted to hear. People were falling asleep everywhere and leaving before the show finished. We were really looking forward to this event, and everyone in our group left feeling disappointed.
